Why, exactly, am I awake?
Brain: Pssst...hey you!
Me: What time is it?
Brain: Hey, listen, I still can't figure out what's going on with that paw in the drawing we're working on.
Me: It's 2:00 am. I went to bed three hours ago. This can wait. Shut up.
Brain: No, it can't! Look, I know we have a reference photo and all but with what we know of anatomy I just can't figure it out.
Me: Come on! I'll look at it in the morning. Now shut up. Three hours of sleep isn't enough.
Brain: Oh, all right...*sulks*
A bit later:
Brain: Psst, look I was thinking...
Me, looking at the clock: Half an hour does not make it morning.
Brain: Of course it does. It's after midnight. Look about that paw...
Me, pulling a pillow over my head with a groan: Not the paw again. Shut up! We have all day tomorrow.
Brain: But...
Me: No! Shut up.
Brain: Come on...we have books with anatomy. It would just take a few minutes to look it up and see if I can figure out what's going on.
Me: *groan* Fine. If it will make you shut up.
Fifteen minutes later and one paw fixed to my satisfaction. I think I should probably not draw before bed. :-P
