100 Photos Meme: day 4
This photo was actually taken in March 2004, but I was still 16 sooooo ... I'm saying it counts. Ha. The only 2003 photos I have available (also of me on a Shire horse) were taken on film cameras and scanned, so aren't great quality.
Anyway, this is me on Major, doing the lap of honour at the end of the ridden class in the National Shire Horse Show. We came third that day, and placed second the next day. Shame the ridden stuff wasn't three days, ha! Major was my absolute favourite; I loved that horse. He died 7/8 years ago from suspected kidney failure and I was with him when he went. An horrific day, but I'm glad I was able to stroke his neck as his great heart finally beat its last. He was such a lovely animal. My mum took this photo, and it remains one of my all time favourites. :)
