Unbearable Kid Cuteness

Miranda is cold blooded like I am, easily gets cold, never sweats unless it is almost body temperature outside. So she rarely complains about the heat EXCEPT when we get in the car after it's baked by the sun all afternoon. But instead of just whining about it being too hot, she has taken to saying in in perplexed and curious tone, "My ears are sweating." And she still, on occasion, tells me, "I miss you. I very love you." It makes up for a lot of the hitty obnoxiousness that is her usual way.

Cordelia came home from camp yesterday. (We send her to day camp, so she doesn't end up spending her entire vacation playing video games while youtubing 8 hours a day.) They played a "zombie game" which she described in her happy chirpy way thus: "It was dark, there was music and then it stopped and you had to freeze, OH and we used Michael Jackson's Thriller, [continued in an innocent yet condescending tone] you might know it, ... it was really fun but creepy." I couldn't stop laughing at this. I love it when my kids try to introduce me to things that they think are cool which were invented by my generation. It teaches me to appreciate my youth all over again. Hey, the 80's were pretty awesome.
