Wow. The Event of my lifetime.
We just elected a black man named Barack Hussein Obama to be our next president. I say again, Wow. America does rock after all. See other countries, we don't totally suck.
I did not get as drunk as I had threatened I would get last night because I suddenly realized I wanted to savor the election night, which by the way we officially dubbed Hope Day. I feel profound relief, pride, and of course hope, which is only slightly blunted by my cynical side reminding me that everything has gone to shit in the world.
Oh and you know what this means ... the future is here ... The benevolent alien overlords will show up next. So I'll finally get my fucking flying car and robot servants. WOOT!
