We got a cat scratching post off of clearance that came with round cardboard circles instead of carpet or sisal. Cats love to scratch cardboard, especially when its on its side so the corrugation shows. And this scratching post looked perfect. Not only was it the right price, ( Read more... )

I stepped outside today to thin my turnip plants. For an experiment one too-warm early April day, the little plants are doing quite well. Hope this inspires you to grow your own container garden for your pet!

When I built the habitat for Kimba, my first bearded dragon, I used slate tile on the floor. The tile is easy to clean up. I spray it with a bit of reptile habitat cleaner and it wipes right up. It’s great to keep down the work and also to make sure he lives in a clean habitat. ( Read more... )
