I've never seen an angel, but I'm trying to believe

Kierkegaard. Is. AMAZING.

He underscores, in Fear and Trembling, that faith isn't as easy as it seems. I never considered, in any of my experiences with Christianity, that maybe faith isn't something everyone who considers himself "Christian" has automatically (or vice versa, I guess), or just how prevalent a theme that struggle is in scripture. Or that just because you don't have faith, you're out of the running, so to speak.

Faith is a process, and it's hard. I wish someone had told me that there were other people in this grey area, that it doesn't have to be, "Well, you either have it or you don't."

Is there more of this to be found in Christian writings, this exposition of one's struggle as one searches for faith? I should delve.
