The Happy-Joyousness of North Carolina

Apr 04, 2007 12:38

I slept in til 11 in the morning today.

And no one yelled at me.

I swear to God, North Carolina is heaven for me. I love staying and visiting with my aunt and cousin. They're the coolest people ever! And it's made even better by the fact that last night at CiCi's Pizza, me and my cousin Jessica spent the whole conversation in references to our new favorite anime, Wallflower. And my aunt, unlike the parental figures, just looked on and smiled and shook her head. It's beautiful!

And she let me get a box of Pocky at Walmart yesterday! SQUEEE!!! It's so nice living in a normal household every once in a while. So, now I'm hanging out at the house with Harley the parakeet and Sadie the cock-a-poo (damn, but dog mixed breeds have some wierd names!) enjoying the day. I have a bottle of water, several episodes of the Dresden Files saved on digital cable and a very affectionate, fluffy dog to cuddle with while my aunt's out running errands to get ready for her vacation this Friday, which is why I'm here, to house, dog, bird and kid-sit. Life is sooo good right now.

And by the time I get back it'll almost be time for me to start work, so thankfully my family interaction time will be nearly zero. How spiff is that? If anyone needs to get a hold of me, I'll be able to email and hop online at night. So, talk to you all soon! Take care!
