I'm now living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is a most unusual set of circumstances, given that until fairly recently I didn't know anyone in Fredericksburg. I guess I'd better explain what was going on and how I came to be here.
Around Thanksgiving, I started missing my family. Crazy of me, I know. So, I go home to visit them. Everything's happy and lovely and nice, and they convince me that I should move back home, go to college there, all that fun, happy stuff. My sister has a new baby, my brother and his wife are expecting one, and I miss my sisters something fierce, especially Emily, who's more my daughter than my sister. So naturally, I save up a little money, pack everything up and around the middle part of January, move back home.
My parents decide they do NOT like Charles. As if getting him fired from his job and losing his place to live weren't bad enough, they kicked ME out of the house because I wouldn't break up with him! Well, after that situation, I crashed with my friend Jenn for a few days, trying to figure out something I could do. Then, a friend of mine came to the rescue. He had a friend of his that had a house with room to spare, and if we wanted to move there, we'd be more than welcome to. The friend in question is awesome, a nicer person couldn't be found. So, we pack up our few belongings and head up to Fredericksburg, which is roughly an hour outside of DC and a very nice area.
Within a couple of days I've got a great job offer, which I start Monday, and a good lead on a car. I live with another anime fan, and she and I giggle over our favorite shows and characters daily. She's currently beat my poor, abused ass at Soul Caliber 2 but that's okay, I'm the otherwise reigning champion of the household. Charles is right now doing a ridealong with our other roommate, a guy named Devlin, who works for a local ambulance service. It would be nice for him to find a way back into the medical field and not have to deal with hospital politics.
So, things are going well. It's nice here, and we just had an awesome snow, like 8 inches worth! It was great! Falkor is doing well, has gotten very big! He nearly killed me the other day, knocking me down the stairs so that my neck ended up slammed into the post of the railing, but that's okay, he's a puppy, so it's to be expected that he's got more energy than a mid sized nuclear reactor. He's housetrained for the most part now, just has a hard time not trying to play with the bad tempered cat here who could eat him for lunch. Eventually, he will learn.
Well, not much else to delve into right now. I love and miss everyone, so you guys take care and happy belated Valentine's Day!
