First Training Class!

Aug 27, 2009 19:30

Hello all,
Per the request of multiple people, I have put together a fragrance perception training course based on the ones I set up at work. I am in the process of putting together a course for beer styles as well. I would like to have one fragrance panel group meeting tied to one beer-style meeting for each time we meet. The basic set-up will include four fragrances (along with a primer on scent for the first meeting) and a compare/contrast session with four beers from a particular style. To be truly successful, we would need to repeat this several times a week, but we'll see what we can get accomplished =)

What I need from you all:

1) We can handle about eight people maximum per session - so a sign-up sheet will be required.
2) We need everyone to be available for roughly four hours continuously (1.5 hours for smell and 2.5 hours for tasting). We can not start until everyone is present. One of the goals is actually to think as a team - as communist as that sounds.
3) We need to agree on a day. Ideally, we should meet early as our noses and taste buds will be most sensitive before lunch. I understand if this is not possible though =) Please reply letting me know your preferences!
4) A willingness to forego wearing perfume, eating spicy foods, or smoking several hours before training.

Which weekend is best for people? 1) Sept 5/6, 2) Sept 12/13, Sept 19/20 or Sept 26/27
After we choose a day, we'll put up a sign-up sheet.

Thanks much all!
