I blame Chris entirely for my lack of posting, haha. So on Thursday Chris moved back into Res, and while his new Ring Road room is drastically smaller as was expected it doesn't seem too bad. Aside from what to do with the extra chair when no one is sitting in it, I don't think the smaller amount of space will actually be a problem.

On Friday he started his CL training, and I had my interview with Build-a-Bear. And yeah, wow. If I don't get the job, I'm going to boycott BC transit or something. I'm definitely boycotting the 14-- if I have to visit my grandparents I'll walk. Now I can be responsible, I'll admit I could have left earlier than I did. But the 14 was 15 minutes late, and I was 15 minutes late for my interview. So I wasn't grossly in the wrong, my perfect plan was just foiled. And it really bothers me when the 14 does that, if Bus A is supposed to get here at 11, and Bus B is supposed to get here at 11:10-- Bus X shows up at 11:08, what the hell bus is it supposed to be? Was Bus A late? Is Bus B early? If Bus B is early, what happened to Bus A?
So, as the 14 pulled up to the bus loop at UVic I watched the 26 I planned to take pull out of the loop and leave. I asked the driver if there was any way of stopping the 26 for me, but he just went on about protocols and stuff. Man, school bus drivers are so much nicer. When we needed to transfer buses at the middle school, the driver of the bus we were on would stop the bus we needed to take if we happened to not get there on time. And even nicer than asking, the bus we were getting out to would wait when they knew we needed to take it. Maybe it's because they're the only buses that go out because they're school buses, but yeah. Anyways-- I called Mike to see if there was any chance of getting a ride but he was watching the RLO for Deb while she was on lunch. But he suggested I just take a downtown-ward bus and take a 30/31 once I got to Douglas. Unlucky me, they 14 and 4 both left while I was talking to him, so I had to wait another 15 minutes for a 4. That's half an hour of waiting for a bus, added to the fact that I was only supposed to wait 7 minutes for the 14, it's a lot of waiting for the bus.
The 4 got me to Douglas and Hillside, and I got off at the wrong stop. I got off closer to the Dairy Queen. In the end, I ran just over a km to get to my interview. If that isn't dedication, I don't know what is. Basically I kept running up to the next bus stop, checked the time and chose to just keep running to the next one-- so before I knew it I was at Mayfair [also, Hillside is just one downtown block away so there weren't many bus stops to stop at]

The interview itself went well I think. The Workshop Manager seemed to like me, and told me that if I get through this interview, then there's an interview with his assistant, and if I get through that there's some personality test I'll have to do-- and then if I get through that as well, I'll be a Bear-Builder :) So while I may not be working there until October sometime, I think there is a good chance I'm one step closer :) I joked to my mom saying if I get to the second interview I'll celebrate by going to buy the white shoes I'll need to have when working there.

After the interview I went and dropped in on Mike to let him know how my interview went, and I found out when Chris would be done for the day. Since it was a good couple of hours until that time, I went home and started moving around all my stuff in preparation for my grandparents returning. I had to move my foamie floor bed to the living room so that they could move everything around in the computer room when they got back, and since I also had to move most of my clothes I decided to start packing them up into my suitcase again.

Saturday I worked on packing my clothes some more, and much the same on Sunday until my grandparents got back. And today was much of the same, except I went with my grandpa when he ran errands and then we all went out for dinner. Wednesday I start my room stuffing job for Res Life and it goes for a couple days. Now, I'm very sleepy and am going to head up to visit Chris.

The game.
