Ok, I hate this... I mean REALLY hate this! This will be the second year in a row that I"m sick for the Alumni Messiah. I'm supposed to sing "He Shall Feed His Flock" with Gretchen Baker this year, but as of right now, when I flip into head voice all that comes out is air... I can't even force a sound. Michael says like I sound like someone that's smoked a pack a day for 70 years. My voice is nice and low and raspy. Oh joy. I'll have to tell Mr. Bishop today that I probably won't be singing. If it's like this on Saturday, I won't be singing in it at all. Which is sad, because this year the community is allowed to join in, and Michael was going to sing with me. Uggh.
Margaret had a dr.'s appointment on Tuesday. She weighs 8lbs 4oz. She also had a temp., but so far she's seemed to escape this awful cold Michael and I have.
I have this really weird urge to live in a small town out west. Like in CO or even in ... gasp... MT. Something about small town living is screaming at me. Perhaps it's the simplicity, or the mountains. But I feel like getting rid of all my New York & Co, and express clothing and throwing on men's jeans and a flanel shirt. At my last trip to VOA I actually bought two flannel shirts. I never thought I would crave living out west. And I NEVER thought that I would think (isn't that a great statement) I could be content living in a small, isolated town. But, for some reason, right now I'd give anything to go out to MT.
In other news... Michael's parents aren't coming out to see Margaret until perhaps easter (at the earliest). I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. I guess I can't understand why they don't seem to want to come see Margaret. I mean its not like they just found out that we were having a baby the day she was born. They knew about this since March. So it seems like they would plan to see us (even if it didn't work out... at least planned on it). But instead for break, they are going to see Beth in CA and stop by ID to see Jim and Hillary. Uggh. They haven't even sent anything. Which, isn't a huge deal.... but come on! Jim and Hillary said they received things from them before Brooklyn was even born.
Well, I'm off to go do something... maybe go sit and cry. uggh
