This is now just going to stay up to continue communication between people over HQ scanlations. Ignore this please, unless you are... you know who you are.
Hey you guys, ambientlight, amycuz89, thegoblinwood! What do you think of this idea? It wouldn't require anymore work than what you're already doing. Heck, possibly even a lot less work
( ... )
I really like this idea, and for those who didn't notice what I stated in my previous entry, I have the german volumes of voulume 3-6 (not seven, yet). As the goblinwood stated earlier, he is right now trying to scanlate chapter 10 by using the translations I gave him. But maybe I should post the whole, complete translation here again, in case anyone would like to redo them of some reasons? (since some of you were talking about using high quality scans. If so, please just tell me to do so, and I will make a new entry with them

I posted chapter 10, and I'd be fine with editing the other chapters =P My e-mail is tugging.on.the.moon@gmail.com And just so there's no confusion, I'm a girl ^^
Re: Proposition~ambientlightMay 6 2007, 03:04:19 UTC
sounds good to me! what will the flow of work be like, though? as in -- will it be a very linear thing, amycuz89 -> me -> you, and then off to thegoblinwood, with perhaps a final all-round check by everyone before the release? or will it be something less structured, as IMs and a messageboard seem to suggest?
btw -- what's hemuloki's policy on things like japanese honorifics, or japanese name order, or even the ideal spelling of the gods' names? (freyja vs freya, frey vs freyr, that sort of thing.) we should probably set these things down at the start, to save trouble later on.
also, i am incredibly lazy when it comes to picking out sound effects, so it would be great if you could do them instead. :D
( ah -- and if it's easier, you can just call me jan. i am indeed female, yes. ^_^;; )
Mainly just e-mail, with IMs here and there. I can setup a messageboard if we want, but there seems to be more freedom with the inquirys going directly to you with e-mail and ims. Basically I'll be communicating with you and amycus back and forth on some questions with the translation, and anything else the translation needs, meanwhile angel_p is scanning. Once angel_p gets the scans done, thegoblinforest will be doing the main edits. When the editing happens sometimes the editor has questions about certian things with the script/translation that she'll need to ask you guys about

will do. i was checking re: honorifics because the german volumes from which amycus is working don't include them; i shall put them in when the script gets to me, i suppose. ^_^;; can i assume that we preserve the whole range of honorifics, even the easily-translated ones such as -sama?

My vote for communication goes to IM. :| It's the most convenient and you can see if someone's available to talk right away rather than pacing.
Message boards seem like a good idea too. It's concentrated to just those people and organized. And everyone can see the post.
Going to school now (well, bookstore first)! I will let you guys know whether I successfully obtained vol 3 or not in 2-3 hours XD;
