So don't get me wrong...

I love my job and all. I think it's great and I love the people. Besides, the atmosphere in general is very homey and welcoming.

But before I go to work tonight, let me give you a teaser of the kinds of people I deal with at least once per day...

Customer 1: "Is the ice coffee...iced? Is there ice in it?"

or this

Customer 2: "Can you grill the grilled cheese?"
No, I'm sorry, we can only give it to you if it's frozen.

Me: "Here's your coffee. -puts the cup on the counter-
Old Woman: -in mumbling old woman voice- Nooo, I want that in a bag.
Me: -stunned- "What?"
Old Woman: "Could I get my coffee to go... in a bag?"
Me: "Uhh... -pulls out cup tray- you mean one of these?"
Old Woman: "No. I want my coffee in a bag."
Finally figuring she wanted the cups also, I put the cups in the bag and roll up the top so that the cups wouldn't move too much.
Me: "Here you go."
Old Woman: "Oh, thank you young man..."
5 Minutes Later...
Old Woman: -holding sopping wet bag- "I seem to have dropped it on the escalator."
Me: -sigh- "Would you like me to remake that?"
Old Woman: -walks away-

Oh, and I just enjoy this...
I have had to clean up outside food service messes several times. What really grosses me out is that people eat off of the tables by the cushy chairs. I find this absolutely disgusting because I catch people all the time kicking off their shoes (bare or socked feet) and flopping them up on the tables. I rarely clean the tables just because I derive a small (albeit sick) sense of satisfaction when people set their food wrappers down where some large, sweaty construction worker just put his feet. Is this wrong? Bwuahahahahahaa...

It's the little things.
