Gee, looks like it's going to be a once-a-month-entry at this rate! For a while anyway. Til I get tinternet at mine.
I went to that gig last night, Porcupine are ok but the Cavemen (N's band) is soo much better. I'm not just being biased either, Maz you're really gonna love the music. Brilliant beat going on, it just makes you want to headbang and jump all over the place! Guitar is cool too, and Rob sings brilliantly! I was really surprised cos he's kinda quiet. Benjie sang as well, think he was on bass. Meg, Rob's girlf was there, we got on a bit better this time. Maybe cos we were both really proud feeling! Anyway, also met Nicki Mac who reminds me of a girl who used to be in coronation street, she's just got married and they're so sweet! She lives in Norwich too so she gave me her no and we're gonna meet up sometime soon, she's also having a house-warming party so that should be cool!
Soy I have got your text but I'm out of credit so haven't had a chance to reply but I'll give you a call, are you free to meet up this week? Could go for a coupla pints in Norwich or something? Or..could go shopping! Hurrah!!! :-D
Went to Maz's work party, and I really hoped to see you Sezby* and Vicki but there just wasn't time (sorry..) Me and Maz had a GREAT time at the do. Really mad dancing, worse than usual, more dramatic than usual as well, wouldn't you say chum? *smiles remembering...* was a groovy evening! Though, I managed to mess my legs up somehow, had to have a day off work to recover. I was really a cripple for a few days. People were eyeing me up suspiciously on the streets, I was limping like a drunken tramp. Really should have played the part properly and got a flask o whiskey together. Am ALL better now though, so yep, no need to worry bout me chums!
For N's birthday we had a groovy evening out - I met him and his brother Graeme at the cinema where we had a quick tipple before going to see Layer Cake (had a black russian, whiskey-tia maria-coke...mmm, tasty!) Film was ok, nastily violent -squirmers, when the film gets to the cafe scene make sure you got a cushion handy!- but was ok. Not v original and the Michael Caine accent pissed me off..good twist at the end though. Very Tarantino. After the cinema we went to the All-You-Can-Eat-Chinese-Place (N's words, we couldn't remember etiher of us what it's called) and ate (funnily enough) all we could eat. They had desserts there too maz..imagine, all the ice-cream you can eat! was heaven! Though by then, after red wine and champagne (v nice champagne too!) most of it got soaked up in mi jeans! *laughs* We got a taxi back to Norwich, and Neil drove me home in time for work in the morning. Excellent night out!
So far at work, have been told off for the following:
- too short skirts
- too messy desk
- wearing lacy gloves
- being late
- sleeping (or wanting to!) on my chair at lunch
- negative attitude to work.
If anyone has any ideas how i can improve on this, please let me know! ;-)
It looks like I have no choice to stay on at my flat, as I'm supposed to be showing people around it soon. No, I really don't know anything more about it than that, but the detective in me will find out what's going on soon.. is a bit of an upheaval to find a new place to live as well as finding a better paid job but in a way is exciting, feels like anything could happen.
Oh I got some new boots (guilty face)... the heels are dead funky, metal tipped silver heeled stilettos. Have done quite a bit of damage with them though. Don't know what's happened to me but am definitely turning into a sexy shoe person. Am addicted. *sighs happily*
Right well I have things to do, things to do chums! Well, nothing very interesting. Just buying shoe polish and a coupla sunday newspapers. Did anyone manage to see a copy of the Style magazine in the Times two Sundays ago? Was pretty funky. Oh yeh, which reminds me but I'll have to tell you about that next time - Paul and Jo's dinner we were invited to a couple of weekends ago. OK, right, must go finish mi milkshake and get paper, so, tirra for now all! Chat to you all soon, lots of love and nana milkshake, your friend always Hels*
