Taking responsibility for our actions... *all* of us.

I'm not sure if I can accurately express myself right now. Partially b/c I just haven't been in the writing mood lately and partially b/c this post is going to be about the Virginia Tech shootings which is probably the most frustrating incident to comprehend since the Columbine High School shootings. I used it very intentionally. Of course my angle was to align people's thinking when playing the blame game with media or immigration or anything else. The core issue isn't external influences or immigration, but the fact that some people are just psychotic. Some people are just going to be psychotic. You can't rationalize it, and to do so, you are ignoring the core issue instead of trying to do anything about it.

Your rhinoceros conversation was a good way to illustrate the point. Whereas his delusion was harmless, some people have similar delusions much more strongly, and those delusions can be much deadlier. Cho's convictions about the rich and about religion were just as strong as your friend's about the rhinoceros, or likely stronger, but he chose to act out on them in a violent manner. It's not anything that immigration reform or censorship could have prevented. Really, it's not anything that gun control laws could have prevented either, because as I've said, if someone really wants a gun, there are ways for him to get a gun that don't involve going to a store and purchasing one legally.

Sometimes these things just happen. We can't find reason in them. We just have to find faith that perhaps they happen for some unfathomable greater good.
