Possibly a silly question! Should I PM all the mods about the closing? Or am I missing a "help_japan_mods" account?

You can PM any of us personally. :) We don't have an overarching mod account. [ilovetakahana, hesselives or sandyeyes]

"When do I have to donate by?

... Otherwise, you will have to donate by the time ilovetakahana goes to sleep on 26 March.

OMG! I donated before bidding closed! Does it count?

...as long as you donated after 26 March."

Soo... does that mean we HAVE to donate on March 26th? I am really confused by the timeline.

Sorry for the confusion there. I will be editing the entry to reflect the following information:

Saturday, March 26, 6 AM GMT+8: auction closed to new offers
Monday, March 28: bidding on all auction posts continues; mods will post reminder that end of auction is coming up
Thursday, March 31, 6 AM GMT+8: auction close and all bidding ends

A further question: I was planning on donating earlier. Is there a process to withdraw my bids, since my donations won't count, as they are too early?

Not necessarily! If you can make your donations earlier, you can PM the confirmations to us, following the formats prescribed above, and we will log the auction as closed.

Just to get this clear in my head. We have up until the 31st March to keep bidding?

Yes - bidding will close on March 31, 6AM GMT +8 to keep bidding.

THIS IS A COUTDOWN CLOCK UNTIL THAT TIME :)

How do things work for people offering things (e.g 3 icons) per v-gift?

When the auctions close, you must confirm bidders at THIS POST. If you have multiple winners and the donations were made in v-gifts, you must specify the number of v-gifts each winner made and name all recipients in the same confirmation comment .

I'm confused about the March 28th part. I wouldn't want to contact a potential winner while bidding was still going on, as there is no guarantee that person would be the actual winner, and I certainly wouldn't want a potential winner making a donation and then being outbid. Wouldn't it be clearer to hold off on all contact with winners until they are confirmed winners?

The actions on March 28 are just alerting the potential winner that they are still in the lead. The main purpose of these reminders is to alert potential winners to make sure they have the funds available to make the committed donation before the auctions officially end. The messages will explicitly state that the auction is still in bidding and that they may be outbid, and to NOT donate for that item until they are officially declared the winner at the end of the auctions.

If they are unable to make the donations, their bids may be withdrawn and the next highest bidder may take the auction (if there are multiple users interested in the same auction).

That makes sense -- thanks!
