I've already stumbled upon a mistake in the
Supernatural Timeline that I usually use, so I'm quite happy with my decision to keep track of days in the series. It means though that there is TONS of unaccounted for time between episodes, also the weather doesn't make any sense. Basically episodes 3-5 take place between November 14th and February 27th

I guess I have a thing for sarcastic sleepy people.
Wow, you'd love me then. ~_^
I'm not sure that Jess was really haunting Sam. I think it was a sign of his mental stress. It was probably just a hallucination.
I agree, this episode does feel like "Sam says goodbye to normal". I love that picture of him on the fridge. He seems so foreign in it with that carefree smile, even to us.
You're right, Dean isn't jealous of Sam going to college, but he does seem to yearn for that normalcy and friendship that Sam appears to have. Dean seems conflicted in this episode. Like he's resentful of Sam for leaving, and he's self-righteously satisfied that Sam's now realizing that this is his fate and he can't fight it, but at the same time he loves Sam and feels bad for him.
Dean's abandonment issues go way deep, much farther back than Stanford. But it probably is one of the biggest issues he has with Sam. I love how it takes shapeshifter guy to tell Sam what he should be able to see but can't because he's so damn self absorbed!

I don't know what to think about the bracelets. I don't wear anything either unless it is sentimental or utilitarian. Actually, I always wear a necklace, and I feel naked without one...but I don't see the boys as having that sort of thing going on.
That's why I put haunting in quotations...I don't think she's actually haunting him either. It's more of a psychological thing.
And you are right, Dean's abandonment issues DO go back further than Stanford. I just think that Stanford is what "sealed the deal" so to say.
