Through the foggy haze of the energy overload, he hears a distant sound, reverberating through the high ceiling of the building and echoing off the walls where he's standing in the food aisles, perusing the jars of "pickled" vegetables. He pauses for a moment, lifting his head and looking around, before turning and wandering through the store toward the sound, his arms still loaded down with the bag of cheese cubes and the loaf of bread.

The sound comes again, and once more minutes later, and he recognizes it dimly as the sound of something shattering. Glass, most likely. It's the most common breakable User material. When he finally reaches the aisle labeled "Home Wares: Framed Art and Mirrors," he turns the corner, gets one look at the form standing in the midst of piles and piles of broken glass, and drops the food and empty bottle in his arms and backpedals into a display stand filled with decorative vases.

"GLITCHING GRIDBUGS!"

Before the words are even completely out of his mouth, he's tumbling to the ground in a pile of glass and noise, yelping and covering his head as the vases rain down in a heap around him. And then even before the commotion is over, he's trying to climb to his feet, not even seeming to notice the pain of his hands digging into the glass, his mind feeling slow, hazy and confused. Either the bottled energy here was having an unusual effect on his systems, or he'd suffered some sort of malfunction; his processor wasn't responding as quickly as it should have, and when he tried to right himself, it ended in him staggering rather inelegantly instead.

Still, that didn't change the shock and confusion he felt when he found himself staring at what could only be described as a copy of himself, as he had appeared on the Grid during his cycles as Rinzler right down to the circuit colors. It was certainly the last thing he'd ever expected to find in this Universe, or any, for that matter. If he needed to take a moment to properly get his bearings, it could certainly be forgiven.

So many people had left. The town is pretty much empty as the hollow wanders around the 'downtown' area of Bell Pointe to look for something interesting destroy before he hears some sort of commotion from one of the buildings. Funny. He didn't sense anyone there so it must have been some humans scrambling around for some reason.

He'll take a look in case there was someone worth fighting in the abandoned town.

When he gets closer to one of the windows he sees figures towards the back, one at least breaking things in some sort of tantrum. Maybe the humans went crazy. Something to watch~

What order? This is now a free for all? Literally? here_catch August 23 2011, 18:41:13 UTC
It was as much the sound of someone cursing as it was the sound of vases falling, that caused Rinzler to look up from his petty property damage. And what he saw caused him to do a double take.

There, stumbling awkwardly through a mess he'd no doubt made himself, was ... a user who looked vaguely familiar. And Rinzler who disliked users on principle, immediately hated this one for what he represented.

So, drunk on his own forays through the bright coloured drinks in the liquor isle, Rinzler picked up a lovely, round, ornate mirror and sent it sailing through the air at Tron.

And drunk or not, Rinzler would always excel at throwing flat circular objects.

Oh God, you have no idea how hard I laughed at Rinzler!!! <3!!! tronja307020 August 29 2011, 01:35:57 UTC
The sluggish response of his body was almost as bewildering as the situation he'd found himself, but he found it hard to focus on making his limbs work correctly when he found himself staring at himself turned so utterly wrong. He had managed to steady himself against a pillar just in time to see Rinzler lift up an ornate mirror and fling it like a disk, and he gave a startled cry, twisting and attempting a familiar flipping maneuver that would put him out of the path of the improvised weapon.

He tried to reach out and catch the mirror in the midst of the leap, only to have it slip numbly through his fingers and go clattering and shattering to the floor, and the supposedly graceful landing instead sent him rolling and tumbling in much the same way, his hands slipping slickly across the smooth tile. He recognized the bright smears of blood on the ground where his hands had been, realizing the glass shards had cut into his skin when he'd tried to right himself.

His mind was still reeling, however, from the reality of his situation as he forced himself to his feet again, holding his hands up to display to the other that he was unarmed. He doubted it would do little good. He had never been one for mercy when he'd been on the offensive while under Clu's reprogramming, but he had to try nonetheless.

"Rinzler, no! Stand down!"

Maybe he shouldn't have imbibed that strange, burning water.

Rinzler has another mirror in hand now, and while it isn't circular, it does have angles - and more importantly: sharp edges. He's never thrown a square before, but he's willing to experiment to see the result. User: Kevin_Flynn had never been capable of such feats of acrobatics as demonstrated by this user, but that seems appropriate somehow. It only makes sense that Rinzler's user would be more dangerous, more capable, and more competent.

Adjusting his grip on the frame, Rinzler prepares to lob it at his enemy when the man brings up his hands in the universal sign for I'm-too-stupid-to-be-properly-equipped-and-therefore-aren't-even-worth-my-pixels.

Normally that wouldn't save him. Normally he'd be dead on his feet in nanocycles. Normally any action that wasn't immediate fight or flight rendered a program very quickly derezzed in the face of the enforcer. But not now.

When Tron held up his hands, Rinzler saw that they were wet and red, and he recoiled, the mirror falling to the ground harmlessly.

Hmm... It was pretty hard to see from outside. The hollow considered breaking the window but it would have brought attention to him... though it was tempting. Instead he found the door to the S-Mart and walked in, glancing around at the strange place and its shelves of items before he made his way towards the back of the store.

Broken and some empty items strewn onto the floor. He had no idea of the purpose of this supposed 'S-Mart' but from what he could see humans sure were messy.

HAH YEAH SRY. 8| I honestly didn't think about it until I'd already posted about the broken glass tronja307020 September 3 2011, 12:45:51 UTC
Tron visibly recoiled when Rinzler moved to fling the next, even-pointier mirror in his direction, his arms moving up in a defensive sheild in the same instant that Rinzler recoiled from the sight of his blood. The reaction was confusing, but he used it to his advantage, unsure whether the action signaled a break in Clu's coding or something else. He steps forward slowly, cautiously, and wishes that he could make eye contact through that damned helmet.

"It's alright, I don't wanna fight you..." Through his haze, he heard the words slurring strangely as he spoke, drawled out and almost feeling as if his tongue were too thick to speak properly.

[...Well, ok. Hello, tiny post. :| WTF, me.]

Did you hear that, human? YOU'RE making a mess. Better get to cleaning. Chop chop. here_catch September 6 2011, 19:06:14 UTC
There must have been something in the air, because Rinzler was feeling unpleasantly warm, and surprisingly, uncomfortably, and uncharacteristically talkative.

Well.
That was weird.
But he didn't dwell.
He was all about living in the moment.
Or something.
...
... It was getting hard to hold onto his thoughts...
He felt kind of like a nap right now and he didn't even know what a nap was.

So, his User finally felt like talking to him again? It had only been a countless number of cycles. It was completely understandable Alan_1 would only feel like interacting with his program when his life was at stake. That was absolutely fine. Rinzler didn't hold a grudge at all.

And he could talk too.

"But. I do."

And then Rinzler was reaching out and trying to grab Tron by whatever closest resembled a pair of lapels.

A neck would be fine too.

Sounded like they stopped breaking things. A pity. If they reached an agreement and decided to call off the fighting that would be a waste of his time.

He'll just have to step in and see if they'll continue where they left off.

"What's this, hmm? Lookit the state of this place..~"

Rinzler spared some attention for the pale guy that had just entered stage left.

Oh look. Another program. (Because who else could be so ungodly pale and creepy looking? Dude was probably related to Zuse.) Poor guy; this was no place for a Basic. Rinzler would probably have to mow the sod down next, especially if he wanted to leave and access the next level. (Which he did.)

Until then, Mr. Pale would be a: [SPECTATOR]. Which was fine. Rinzler liked fans.

(He also ignored his fans, and that was exactly what he was doing now.)

Shut up and take a seat, kid. The show's just getting interesting.
