when there's a spark
Hello Yourself has always been about evolution - we were among the first to focus primarily on female friendly rpf (listen, ladies. Sure there's sluts and whores, but often these derogatory labels are being applied a little too liberally on the wrong half of the couple*) and semi-well-thought out romance. And as some of you may argue, heart-churning angst. :D
We like to think we were among the first to bring Meisa into the fandom rpf stakes, (seriously. you knew we were) and my slow but steady drip feed of Sweet Power everywhere, and of course, our break away with JE.
And now that it appears that Yamapi has gotten himself another alleged girlfriend ~ one that I like (D might weigh in later, but she's been super busy) out of all his alleged girlfriends (I don't count Maki obviously. By now, she's in a category by herself.) She's beautiful and she has a very pleasant voice and I hope they're happy together, if they are in fact, together. ETA: Woohoo! Thanks, unleash the geek: FRIDAYED! in color!
At this point, my feelings toward Yamapi is like that he's kind of like Leonardo di Caprio, except without the acting talent. And I say this affectionately. I really did just fall for Akira and those elements in Yamapi, but I don't think I ever fell for just him. My love is not unconditional! Unless you're in Arashi! *G*
And I think, that was the trouble I'd been having with writing any Yamapi/Maki fic lately ~ I've outgrown that first crush and there's been other things - other, shinier, Korean and Naked An An shaped things. I mean, I don't rule out a future collaboration between Maki and Yamapi (Young Japan! Everyone knows each other!) rekindling feelings (but please, no more Kurosagi. EVER. I'm still not over hating the movie.) but it's pretty much a given that I left Team Yamapi a long time ago. I wish him well, I hope his hair gets better, really, because he's attractive, but he's not that attractive to rescue that hairstyle. Not even Kimura Takuya could save that hair, and speaking of which - KT's been drinking of the hair fug well as of late too. Seriously, Japan. Stop with the manperming. It's nearly as bad as when the women do it.
It does feel like our sunset has come and gone, doesn't it? I've been writing Jaejoong/Maki like a fiend lately (exactly like a fiend - no rhyme or reason. It's kind of awful, but I'm still learning my way around), and I need to rewatch Atadan so I can finish my Sho/Chisato pieces (ha, they're not finished, by a long shot), I gave up on Vampire Boy Akuma Koishite - THANK GOD SO I DON'T HAVE TO WRITE THAT FIC because as someone who appreciates crack, does not like it when the crack gets tedious half way through and the OTP gods continue to spit in her face, and there are no secondary OTPs to make it better.
Though, I totally believe Yoko goes around enthralling highschool students on his days off, because I can see him doing it. I ♥ Yoko.
Oh well, next time I post, it'll be either fic or Mirei's photobook scans.
