The best part of transitional periods is when they end.

I’m already slacking with the blog and whatnot.   I have FINALLY registered my car in CA, after 5 months of living here.  It has been such a hassle though.  It’s considered a truck, even though I can barely fit a lamp in the back bed, so it’s considered a commercial vehicle.  I have to go to one of the trucker stops on the freeway and get my car weighed and get a special emissions test! SooooOooOo lame.  I guess it’s good to regulate cars/trucks that much because there is to much traffic in this area.

The month of May has been a busy month.  I have been going to the gym everyday during the week, so by the time I get home is 8:30 and I’m ready for bed already!  I’m getting old.  I have also been trying to eat healthier too.  Stupid San Franciscans and your organic-ness influences.  I have yet to see a really overweight person here.  I have also been going to Pilates classes two days a week.  I know it’s a little gay, but it is going really well.  There are a few other guys, and my future husband (except he doesn’t come all the time), in the class.   It helps to tone muscle and flexibility.  Then Monday, Wednesday and Friday (sometimes) are for building muscle and running.  After Pilates on Thursday I generally go to the hot tub afterwards to relax, and of course to people watch!   I feel like I am at home less and less, which is awesome.  I really don’t play video games, watch TV or go on the computer after work anymore.   I love not feeling lazy and healthy. My next outdoor investment is going to be a mountain bike.  There is some bike trails near my house that I want to start doing.  The weather is also starting to get super nice, which means more beach days and Dolores park.

June is going to be a crazy busy month so you may not hear from me for a while after this.  I just got back from a mini vacation in NJ last week.  It was tons of fun and makes me miss the suburbs a bit.  Then again, it would be living in Rochester all over again and that’s boring :-P.  I’d love to move to Philly though.  In a week or so I am going for 5 days to Myrtle Beach, NC, to the condo with all the BFFs from highschool (suuuuuuuuuuper excited).   I’m taking two ½ days off of work for it. Then a week after that Amy, from Albany, is coming out for gay pride week!  That is going to be a none-stop fun packed week while she is here.  I took another two days off of work.  Ya know, this 3 week vacation days is awesome!  The second week in July mom is coming out for two weeks!!!!!  I haven’t seen in her in forever and talking on the phone everyday just isn’t the same.  I really miss her and can’t wait for her to come out and see my new life.  We have tons of stuff lined up to do.  Napa wine valley, Seqway tour, Alcatraz, San Jose, possibly a trip to LA, tooooons of eating at sweet restaurants.

Until next time, stay classy.
Your penpal,
     Kevin
