We had Discos, their local fastfood at the entrance of JZG today. Then we packed up and prepared to take the flight out to Xi'an. Took a cab to the airport at Huang Long. I opened up the window to let in some fresh air today, so i did not get car-sick thank god. We stopped awhile on the way as the driver needed to smoke. Took a few pictures at this village. It wasn't too bad.
At Huang Long airport, the altitude sickness got us deep. We had some instant bento set which tasted bad. Couldn't wait to leave the place.
When we reached Xi'an. The first thought that greeted me was the fact that the air was bad. Smelly! We were supposed to meet Tian Shifu, our cab driver who was a family driver of YW's friend. He couldn't made it in time and sent his friend to pick us up. The cab ride was peppered with various topics as the cab driver was very friendly. When I entered the city centre which was surrounded by the 1600s Ming Dynasty walls, I literally felt chills!!! The driver said we chuanyue. I think we did. 1600s!! Of course I harked back to the time where Zhou ShiXian and Princess ChangPing passed by these walls when the Ming Dynasty was felled by the Manchurians during 1600s. And omg I'm in the same place Qin Shi Huang was, it's like.. OMG.
We reached our hotel Grand Soluxe. It was really grand and big. Quite ATAS. Then we left for Haidilao steamboat. AKA the steamboat which made me puked. It was the first time I puked overseas. It was so horrid. The meat was mushy and strange. The only thing I liked was the plum juice.
Anyway, I remembered feeling quite scared as I was in a city I had not known. But after a few days, I kinda loosened up.
