In my experience, iThemes Security, the module formerly known as Better WP Security, is kind of terrible. Significantly, it doesn't uninstall cleanly and will lock you out of your own site at the drop of a hat.

Comments from non-friends will be screened, but allowed through if they aren't obviously spam.

You can use your OpenID to comment on LiveJournal.

In the course of yamming and tweeting about a bugbear of mine, I've realised I have enough to say to make a blogpost.

Changing your email address on LJ causes a confirmation email to be sent to your email address (the one you're changing to, haha, fail).

When you visit the validation link, it redirects you to a page assuming you're a new member and would you like to see Livejournal 101, n00b?

I'm getting some spam, in spite of setting captchas on for all anonymous commenters, so I'm afraid I've had to screen anonymous comments journal-wide.
