horse picspam!
Today was another beautiful warm, sunny, blue-skied day. So after a morning of lie-in, pottering round the house and tackling the Washing Mountain, I went off to the stables and decided that instead of riding, it was bath time for Ziggy. And brought the camera...
The view from the top of the hill down to the fields is pretty stunning on a good day -
Muddy(ish) horse in field - now it's been dry for a few days, they're not so horrendously muddy as a few weeks ago
I can has treats?
Where are the treats? Are they in here?
The dark patchs you can see are mud, she's got so much lighter in the last few years (see icon for comparison), she's pretty much all white now, very little darker grey left.
THAT WAS NOT TREATS. Cleaner, but Not Amused horse (note tail now white, not yellow!)
At last, NOMS! See how the ground around her is all TOTALLY soaked? She does not like the hose v. much. In the end, i was nearly as wet as she was...
Don't touch my bukket! Drying off in the sunshine, with more tasty horse fuds
Look, WHITE mane!
Also, now white tail (also taken specially for Mr Thesme, who likes this kind of thing). The whiter side is the side to the sun, so drying quicker, she hasn't much dapple grey left at all
Drying the other side. NOM NOM NOM. Also, you can just about see ribs! or where ribs are. Just have to get rid of the grass belly now...
EXTREME CLOSE UP. Showing the brown flecks that come from her thoroughbred father.
Back in the field, saying hi to Elsie, who is like a mini version of zigs
So clean! So shiny! Shame it won't last ;p

I love her eyelashes. So pretty.

I liked how the shadows looked, I think her head here looks the shape of the big Chalk Horses (uffington? I should know that ;p)
She's starting to get a winter coat already, and it goes a bit fluffy when washed

I may bring the camera again tomorrow to show how dirty she can get herself again overnight. THo at least her mane and tail should stay clean looking for a while.
