Stayed down with the mother last night, had usual enormous feed and evening watching house doign up shows on cable. Which may in part have led to The Row this morning ( Read more... )

About the only advantage I can see to getting married at some point is that then she'd stop doing this. Probably.

Then she'd say that he wasn't good enough for you, and probably start nagging him over things :P

Well yes but at least she wouldn't be recarpeting the house while I'm out, because it would be the Husband's job to decide such things.

Hopefully anyway :p

No, she'd just browbeat him into taking the day off work so that he could empty the spare room, measure it and drive her to the carpet shop.

The stealth cleaning was bad enough, but I figured stealth carpeting was a new step even for her ;p

My mum once had a row with her parents while we were staying with them because she went out to see her friends in Redruth, and didn't come home! We'll gloss over the fact that by this point in time, I was old enough to stay out all night...
