[After helping with Amaterasu and Kaito as much as possible, the soldier returns to the hospital, wanting to check on Shinju's condition. He walks inside the room, spotting him on the bed nearby.

The boy was still too weak for him to heal properly, but at least he seems to be recovering.]

[Shinju lies there motionless, his eyes closed. At Kresnik's entrance, however, he twitches slightly, not quite aware that someone is there]

He coughs weakly a bit before speaking, his voice a bit raspy]

Slowly, the sound of boots stepped into the hospital room. The footsteps slowly walked to the bedside of Shinju, pausing directly beside him. The moved away shortly to take up a chair and move it beside the injured. The owner of the footsteps sat down, and stayed silent for a few seconds before speaking

Opening his eyes, Shinju turned his head to face the vocaloid's direction as best he could. His voice came out scratchy and weak, but he would force it if he had to.

"I accept your apology."

After such a sincere admission from the vocaloid--the most sincere thing he'd ever heard from him--how could he not?

Almost instantly, tears starting falling down Kaito's face. "Y-You do? Really?"

Shinju paused for a moment to collect his thoughts and his energy.

"...But that's it."

He couldn't hate Kaito anymore, not because of what had happened in the past. But that didn't mean he had to like him.

[If he could, he'd be petting her, but right now the injuries and IVs attached to him are preventing him from really moving much at all. So he's just trying to keep an arm around her if he can.

After a few moments, the young man twitched slightly and began to open his eyes, breaking out of his doze. He looked tiredly in Kaede's direction before speaking, his voice somewhat raspy and weak.

"... who's there?"

With a small gasp, the pink-haired young woman suddenly backed away. She rose to her feet, her cheeks gaining red color.

"S-sorry. I'll go." She mumbled starting to rush towards the door.

"W-what?" he said quietly, hand twitching as if he wanted to reach out to her but didn't have the energy. "W-wait, please..."
