Her hands went around to the back of his neck slowly, carefully, and it was the only thing that moved before she whispered back, just as gently, "Tell me what sensations you feel physically right now." A strange question to most, but for Melinoe, she briefly hoped it would find a way to break through that unknown emotional barrier. If, perhaps, he had an idea of what his physical changes were, then he would understand what he was feeling. Or... have a better idea, at least, and could move forward from there ( ... )

Phonos' eyes searched around as if he might find some explanation buried somewhere, but nothing could help him. His expression altered to one of discomfort and borderline desperation, because he wanted so badly to make things right, to do what she wanted and to make her less angry with him; he wanted them to be on good terms again, not to continue fighting. After a short internal struggle, after the kiss, he whispered with all the regret in the world, "I do not know ( ... )

The voice in his first reply practically broke her heart. It was extraordinarily rare that any emotion could be readily conveyed from so simple a phrase being uttered by Murder. But it was there. In his voice, in his eyes, in his motions ( ... )

He could see the change in her eyes and her lips when he told her about the physiological reactions to her and noted that it made her pleased, not entirely certain what the connection was. Phonos had watched a few movies in his time here, of course, but he did not entirely understand the connection between emotions, sexual or physical actions, and the varying levels and aspects of pleasure. What he knew, simply, was that this brought him pleasure and it seemed to bring her pleasure as well and there was nothing wrong with that, because it was disconnected, in his mind, from the emotions she was bothering him about incessantly ( ... )

The late morning hour stirred Melinoe awake, somewhere around 11:30. Her head was pounding slightly, and her stomach was slightly soured, but it wasn't the end of the world. It was while trying to pry her tongue from the roof of her mouth that Meli noticed she was shirtless, that the bed she was in was not her own, and that there was a somebody snuggled up next to her.

The majority of the previous night flooded back in large pieces, some of the smaller details a little hazy, but still intact. She knew that the night had consisted of a lot of kissing and some exploring, but nothing in their current state lead her to believe anything beyond just that had transpired ( ... )

Phonos stirred slowly, torn between dreaming and waking. His fingers slid around Melinoe's side to rest on her bare chest, still picturing a different scene in his deliriously drowsy state. Finally, reality began to set in and he awakened, opening his eyes to the sight of another body. He paused to take an active count of his limbs and where they were, withdrawing his hand as he realized it was upon her chest ( ... )

She wasn't terribly surprised at the reaction, but her heart sank all the same. Did he feel bad? Was he confused? Well, probably. She didn't want him to be, but there wasn't much she could readily do with it at the moment ( ... )

He turned his attention to look at her at the noise she had loosed, interrupted in his intent to speak to her by her words; she had just asked him the same question he was about to depart on her. Phonos gave a small nod. "I believe I am still feeling some ill effects as a result of the level of alcohol consumption last night, but otherwise, I believe I am well. Are you alright?"

His voice intentionally lacked any level of excitement or reassurance. He was not entirely certain how well he felt about the events that had occurred, as his own memories came back to him more naturally than the rush her own encountered. As the flashes of specific instances from the prior night came before him and then sank into his memory again, he was silent. Finally, he shifted his attention to the window to see if he could garner some estimation of time.

When that failed, he looked to Melinoe again and discomfort was clearly painted on his features. "I am.. not certain if I should be apologizing."

It's back to girly Meli, but we'll pretend she's a boy for this. lol meli_mollifies April 20 2011, 03:35:03 UTC
"I'll live," she mumbled into her wrist as she rested her face into her palm. It was the last bit that he had to say that made her look over at him. There seemed to be more times than not that she hated herself for being too emotional; for having feelings that only mortals should have. And for bringing any of it to Phonos. The spirit of Murder and Slaughter. The one thing he did not deserve to have were feelings and emotions that he had no reason to have initially. While it wasn't Melinoe's fault for making him mortal, she had forced him to deal with such things sooner because of her stupid feelings. The heart that decides what it wants, logically or not ( ... )
