My oh my. This schedule is rather intense, and I rarely know what day of the week it is...I almost went to the post office this afternoon to ship a package.
My facility is officially open but we only have 3 residents in the independent living apartments. However, we're staffed round the clock in memory care in case one of the indy residents has an emergency. It's creepy. Last night the wind was intense, the front door and windows rattled all night. I turned on the radio and slept through most of it. When I woke up it had moved on to rain. I'm all alone in a big ol' building, with horrible reception and a walkie talkie that tells me the time every hour scaring the crap out of me. Ah well, I'll enjoy it while I can - I run laps, watch movies, read books, and sleep for 8 hours. Once residents come I'll have to alter these bad work habits. Hopefully it'll happen soon, I need my full time hours to kick in asap - benefits please! Once a job and money are out of the way I can work on grad school and other such plans. Weo.
I have an hour 'til lift off...I've slept about 10 hours in the last 2.5 days, so hopefully I'll be able to sleep tonight. It's getting harder and harder to have any sort of normalcy when I work all night long...but on the plus side, I can eat soup at any time of the day now without people thinking I'm nuts.
