tonight it's it can't get much worse v. no one should ever feel like [open]

Most of the time, Connor really likes hanging out with Faith.  She's Cordy's age older, and funny, and cool, and she can do an entire rainbow of felonious things Connor was never allowed to learn (like stealing cars) and naturally for that reason thought were the ultimate in awesome.

He's not totally oblivious though, and as such is aware being asked to look after an 18 year old boy was probably not what she was looking for re: fulfillment in life (of course, he'd blanch at the concept that he needed looking after at all, he is fine, shut up >:|).  He blames Liam for this, as he does for....virtually everything.  It's kind of easy when the guy's not around to defend himself, because he's, you know, dead.

Perhaps someday Connor will stop being such an ungrateful little snot!  That night, however, is not tonight.  Tonight is just one of those nights when he can tell he and Faith need a break from each other (which sounds better than 'he is driving her fucking crazy') so when they stop somewhere--Wisconsin, but he has no idea and wouldn't care anyway--for leg-stretching and seeing if there's anywhere to steal cigarettes, Connor volunteers to go look for said carcinogenic necessity.

Thus, it is late evening and just starting to get dark as he floppyhairedly-ambles his way down the main drag in Hell, hands and feet swinging everywhere in that way that boys have, the one that demonstrates they have no idea what the fuck their limbs are doing at any given point.

Probably he'll find cigarettes without being bothered by anything.

...right?

Of course!
