June 11--Humbug Trail!

Jun 12, 2011 10:26

Hiking at last! But there are problems. The extended winter has left snow in the mountains even now. Not on this hike of course, as it is a lower elevation hike. But Donner Summit still shows snow at street level. I moved three hikes that I would normally do in June to July and I still wonder if the snow will be gone by then. Four of us for this one. The river is higher than I've ever seen it. There won't be any swimming in there for a long time.
