I'm alive!
I am at work (bookstore) where I actually have internet. I won't have access at home until Monday evening.
The move was all sorts of horrific, but we did manage to get all of our stuff out of the place on the correct day and into the new place on the correct day, so I guess it can be called a success.
I'm so glad to be out of there and so glad to be in the new place.
There are rooms! More than one of them! Exactly how many is up for debate between Anthony and I. I say 3 because rooms without doors don't count and neither do closets (and we have SO MANY closets!). He says more because one of the closets is going to become "my" room and his gear room/recording studio (which is very room-like but has no door) are also rooms. I'm planning on doing a photo-tour of the place tomorrow and hopefully get it uploaded on Monday so you'll all get to see it.
Our landlords are awesome people. They're young (honestly I don't think they're much older than I am) "professional" types. Really earnest and nice.
I haven't been at work all week. Monday was our PD day so we spent it at the Coquitlam campus touring the new nursing facility which is all state-of-the-art and fancy. Tuesday I took off as my "moving day". Once a year I am allowed to take a paid day off for moving. That feels seriously decadent to me. Wednesday and Thursday I attended
Fast Forward and watched documentaries all day whilst Anthony handled all of the moving stresses. And Friday, I was at the AGM for our media collective which was boring and meeting-y.
Tomorrow I have plans to visit the library, take pictures and read a lot.
