Done!
Done, dusted and posted! This weekend just gone, I managed to finish and post a story commissioned as part of fandomaid's Typhoon Haiyan fundraiser! :)
I was very pleased, because I had recklessly offered (amongst other fandoms) to write in Doctor Who territory, which was a place I stormed out of in cumulative indignation about What Happened to Donna, and The Dumping of Older Amy. :D
But recklessness is always certain to be repaid, and sure enough, the request that came asked for an aspect of the 'verse which post-dated the ones I knew: it asked for Clara, interacting with the Fifth Doctor.
Lots of fun followed, 'researching', which meant watching Doctor Who episodes, mostly (in consideration of which the wonderfully kind sirvalkyrie/VampirePaladin increased her donation!) and then writing, and the story is now up, here and here.
It feels great that the first money I've ever earned writing fanfiction (or any fiction!) has been in such a good cause - and now I'll be able to get down to the next chapter of 'Ivory', and even check out the Three-Sentence Fiction. :)
