Tales From Knossos

In wrapping up 2014, I wanted to comment on this year's release of Knossos and the stories I did not get to tell. While we have the tales of priests and priestesses, kings and conquerors, bull dancers, scribes and architects and sailors/merchants, there were stories of bards, fresco painters, potters, engravers of seals, and female scribes that got left by the wayside. One day I hope to be able to write these stories and collect them in a separate volume.

Since I'm wrapping up the year, I wanted to mention an unusual something that occurred recently on Twitter. A Tweeter suggested that my Orestes tweets were actually a form of performance art. At the time, I simply shrugged and--stupid me--stated that they were just me having a good time. But now that time has passed and the rusty cogs in my head have had a chance to ponder the question and get past the obstacle of possible pretentiousness, the whole idea fascinates me. Is Twitter!Orestes performance art? I just regard it as being silly about the Greek Age of Heroes. What do you think?
