Knitting skills I have tried

Pinched from dawnknits

Bold for stuff you’ve done, italics for stuff you plan to do one day, and normal for stuff you’re not planning on doing.

Afghan - I'm a small way through one and it is a long term project, shelved at the moment!
I-cord - I made a handbag handle using i-cord.
Garter stitch
Knitting with metal wire - no thanks, that sounds painful!
Shawl - One day I might have a go; I won't rule it out although I'm not really a shawl person.
Stockinette stitch
Socks: top-down
Socks: toe-up - the idea of these scares me, but I really should try it sometime.
Knitting with camel yarn - I have never heard of camel yarn, but would certainly give it a go if the opportunity arose!
Mittens: Cuff-up
Mittens: Tip-down
Hat
Knitting with silk
Moebius band knitting
Participating in a KAL - I did a cardigan Knit-A-Long on Ravelry once - not a particular pattern, we all just decided to knit a cardigan together. I did a dark grey ribbed cardi and still wear it often!
Sweater
Drop stitch patterns
Knitting with recycled/secondhand yarn - if unravelling something you're never going to finish, and knitting something else with the yarn counts!
Slip stitch patterns
Knitting with bananafiber yarn - Never heard of this either; sounds intriguing!
Modular knitting - I don't know what that is!
Twisted stitch patterns
Knitting with bamboo yarn - Sock yarn that was partly bamboo, anyway!
Two end knitting - What's that?
Charity knitting - I did some squares for the CBB Gather Raffle blanket; the proceeds of the raffle went to a charity - I then bought lots of tickets and won the blanket!! It is on my bed behind me as I type :-D
Knitting with soy yarn
Cardigan
Toy/doll clothing - I have knitted Clangers for all three children which was a total labour of love as knitting toys in general really does not appeal to me. And I don't really fancy doing doll's clothing!
Knitting with circular needles - I rarely use anything else these days!
Baby items - I have knitted teeny socks for babies, and a blanket for my niece.
Knitting with your own handspun yarn - I can't see myself getting into spinning any time soon, but am not ruling it out for the future!
Slippers - I knitted some slippers for L3 a few years ago.
Graffitti knitting: knitting items on, or to be left on the street
Continental knitting
Designing knitted garments - I have designed things, but not garments. A baby blanket and a teacosy...
Cable stitch patterns
Lace patterns
Publishing a knitting book
Scarf - I knitted a scarf out of fluffy fun yarn several years ago for L2. I hated the whole experience and would never knit with the wretched stuff ever again! *grin*
Teaching a child to knit - A very rewarding pastime! :-)
Knitting to make money
Button holes - Yes, I've done them. They are always terrible and I need a LOT of practice!
Knitting with alpaca
Fair Isle knitting
Norwegian knitting
Household items: dishcloths, washcloths, tea cosies… - Ah yes, my beautiful teacosy! I did design that myself but I'm not sure it counts as a garment! Also a couple of cotton dishcloths.
knitting socks- or other small tubular items- on two circulars I've done sleeves on two circulars.
Dying with plant colours
Knitting items for a wedding
Olympic knitting
Knitting with someone else’s handspun yarn
Knitting with dpns
Christmas etc related knitting - Only once. Some 'Dashing' fingerless gloves for Tim which I think I just about finished in time for Christmas. In general I try to save myself the stress!
Teaching a male how to knit - yes, my lovely son!
Bobbles
Knitting for a living
Knitting with cotton - the aforementioned dishcloths! I attempted socks with the cotton first but that was a huge mistake - no stretch at all!
Knitting smocking - I don't know what that means!
Dying yarn
Steeks
Knitting art - if knitting pictures of flowers etc to stick on home made birthday cards counts as knitting art!
Fulling/felting
Knitting with wool - my gorgeous fibonnaci cardigan which I am wearing as I type is made of 100% wool and I love it.
Textured knitting
Kitchener BO - There is no other way to cast off socks in my opinion! I love kitchener stitch; it's like magic every time!
Purses/bags - A handbag and a matching purse to go with it! With a cut up sheepy teatowel for a lining. :-)
Knitting with beads
Swatching - Sometimes. When I feel like it...
Long Tail CO
Entrelac Knitting and purling backwards
Machine knitting
Knitting with selfpatterning/selfstriping/variegating yarn
Stuffed toys - Clangers!
Knitting with cashmere
Darning
Jewelry
Knitting with synthetic yarn
Writing a pattern
Gloves
Intarsia
Knitting with linen
Knitting for prem babies
Tubular CO
Freeform knitting
Short rows - I find them difficult and fiddly though.
Cuffs/fingerless mitts/armwarmers - I knitted some gorgeous fingerless mittens in memory of my dad because I bought the yarn for them the day he died. I wore them at his funeral and think of him every time I put them on.
Cushions
Knitting a pattern from an online knitting magazine
Rug
Knitting on a loom
Thrummed knitting - What on earth is that?!
Knitting a gift
Knitting for pets
Shrug/bolero/poncho
Knitting with dog/cat hair
Hair accessories
Knitting in public - If I didn't knit in public, I'd never get any knitting done at all!

That was fun :-) I haven't really knitted properly for ages and even typing this up has spurred me on to get going again! Thanks Dawn!
