I accidentally spent the morning in bed again - I really really can't do that tomorrow!

We had pasta for lunch, and I must have cooked it slightly differently from usual, because Two declared it inedible (he will eat anything normally...) and insisted on going to check the packet to see if the pasta was past its sell by date! He won't starve...

Tim came and took the kids for the afternoon - they had a good time. While they were gone I made myself a long list and then set about crossing things off. I didn't manage it all, but I did do the following:

- Booked a Tesco delivery for Monday evening
- Got my finances up to date on the computer
- Did all the washing up from lunchtime
- Put on my sandals, hurrah! Spring is here!
- Delivered my cleaning timesheet through the appropriate letterbox so I can be paid for March
- Went into town and to Argos, and having checked the finances would stand it, treated myself to a purple ipod nano - that was my next step in the plan having downloaded itunes and ripped all my CDs to it! :-)
- Cleaned and tidied the kitchen table - a truly mammoth task as it was totally covered in STUFF and CRAP (not literal crap, ahem...) and as it is the only work surface in the kitchen it was making life rather difficult. Now it looks beautiful and is lovely and clear. I might even bake tomorrow. :-)
- Made a menu plan for meals till Monday
- Made a shopping list
- Went to Tesco and bought food. As our kitchen was rather resembling Mother Hubbard's, this is a very good thing. We will actually be able to eat breakfast tomorrow for the first time in three days (yes it really was that bad!).

I then played with the extremely shiny ipod and itunes until the children returned at half past seven. It was then bedtime for the younger two, and One and I watched an episode of QI on dvd. We were interrupted halfway through by a knock on the door, which turned out to be the TV licensing man wanting to assure himself that we really don't need a TV licence. I was most happy to invite him in and show him the TV connected to the Wii and the DVD player, and not connected to any sources of live television. Hopefully that will stop them hassling us again! :-)

Came upstairs with One when she came to bed, to find Two and Little Three surreptitiously sat on L3's bed watching Tom and Jerry on the portable dvd player! I overlooked this blatant denial of bedtime seeing as it is still the holidays, and just said 'your mini sleepover is now at an end - go to bed please!' Hehe!

Having now come over to the 'dark side' of the ipod, I am not sure what took me so long, it is fabulous! It's a while till my birthday but I may be asking anyone who wants to know (which will be my mum, basically) for itunes vouchers!
