When did I last post anything sensible?

And where the heck to start?

The trouble is, there is so much going on that I either spend all day every day posting updates to lj, or I don't post at all. There doesn't seem to be any middle groud that I feel comfortable with!

So. Random bullet points appear to be the way forward.

- Little Two's ongoing mental health issues took a turn for the worse last Friday and he was sent home from school at lunchtime with very strong advice from the staff that we should get him seen by a professional, as he was a danger to himself and frightening the other children quite a lot. As we couldn't get a GP appointment until almost teatime, we took him straight to A&E, where he was admitted to the children's ward until a lady from the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), who already have him on their books, came to do a risk assessment and deem it safe for him to come home.

- Since then he has been doing half days at school, coming home at lunchtime. We went to see CAMHS yesterday for an appointment which was very positive, and I was hopeful he might be able to manage a full day at school today but it was not to be, and in fact by lunchtime he was harming himself physically to an extent we hadn't seen so far. *Big sigh*

- Tim and I ended up missing our counselling session this afternoon because we had to stay with Little Two at home. We are getting marriage counselling at the moment due to some quite severe issues that we should have dealt with a lot earlier in the relationship instead of waiting until we were 14 and a half years married and struggling immensely. Very frustrating to miss a week, because there is no session next week either. By the time we'd been home an hour, Little Two's 'black cloud' had passed and he was perfectly happy again. *Even bigger sigh*

- Little Three is loving school at the moment. Reception are doing the story of the Naughty Bus, and they have an actual Naughty Bus running havoc in the classroom. It is the major talking point in our house every day, and every morning the children arrive at school to discover just what the Naughty Bus has done overnight. Yesterday they discovered the bus had driven into the jelly they had made, and got set inside it, and this morning the jug was tipped over, the jelly was all over the table, and the bus had escaped again! What a naughty bus. Nothing they have done so far at school has captured L3's imagination quite as much as this! It is fab. :-)

- I'm going to the CBB Spring Gather tomorrow, in Milton Keynes. I would be excited about it, but so much has happened over the last couple of months that I won't actually believe I'm going at all until I'm on the train! For this reason I've really struggled with getting things together to go, but I have actually started packing this afternoon, in faith that nothing will go wrong between now and tomorrow afternoon! When I actually believe I'm going, I am really excited, particularly as there will be six people there I have never met before, and some of them have been on my lj friends list for a VERY long time! Can't wait to meet you all in person at last. *tentative bounce*

- Cafechurch tonight. I feel woefully unprepared for it, and yet again haven't managed to invite anyone to come along, but arky72 and weblet_h just in case either of you reads this in time and fancies an hour in Tesco Costa Coffee talking about the Credit Crunch and drinking yummy hot chocolate or whatever, you were the people I was going to invite and never quite got around to it... *blush* It would be so fab to see you and the drinks would be on me! 7 - 8pm in Tesco Costa - first drinks served at 6.45. Anyone else local enough, consider yourself invited too, last month's went really well.

- In knitting news, I've finally finished the wretched red and beige stripy RPM socks and am incredibly glad to see the back of that project! Since then I have been knitting squares for nicolap's CBB Raffle Blanket, which are beautifully quick and mindless to knit. I really ought to take some other sort of small project with me for Gather knitting, but haven't quite decided what yet.

- Finally, I would like to say a heartfelt and public THANK YOU to the_hedge for a)tidying out the outside loo making it completely usable again and b) unblocking the truly manky and disgusting drain in the back garden. Very, very much appreciated.
