(no subject)
1. Have had the tail-end-of-a-cold-cough for about a week, and now seem to have started with my nose again - same cold come back, or a new one on top? Who knows? All I know is that I am bored stiff with blowing my nose and feeling yukky. Bah. Am currently drinking lempsip, which I absolutely loathe (full of horrible sweeteners, yuk yuk yuk), but it seems to do the job of drying my nose up better than the capsules ever do.
2. After weeping profusely all over tanglefrost and mrsrevj the other Friday, about my lack of housekeeping skills and general overwhelmedness with it all, and receiving wonderful advice from them both, I have gone back, this week, to a Flylady type system (though it is very tailored to how I prefer to work).
3. Tuesday is Kitchen Day and so I spent some of this morning tackling the oven (which was a health hazard - probably still is, but now less so than before!), cleaning the sink and mopping the floor (for the first time in goodness knows how long). I cleaned the bathroom last Thursday and so Thursday is now Bathroom Day. I really needed some proper routine and I feel so much better about the housework already.
3. I also have a little list of things to do Every Day which will help me to keep on top of the weekly stuff far more easily. Hurrah, I feel really positive about it.
4. I went to the local FE college this afternoon with Year One and Two from school, to watch the students perform their Christmas play - the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I really enjoyed it, especially being there with the children - I walked there alongside two little boys who were rather high spirited, and sat with them too. Took several children to the toilet and back in the interval!
5. Both Little One and Little Two are going to see the same play tonight with Cubs (having been with school yesterday too!). I had a phonecall after teatime to let me know there was a spare place so I can go too! It will be fun to see it again, in different company. :-)
6. I'm sure there is loads more to say but right now it has run away from my head. Will try again tomorrow (always assuming I get around to it - life is pretty busy here just now, as it is for everyone I know!
