Can't wait to see Ryan's next meeting with the Scary Lady - I love this story!Ryan just wanting to be left alone, and everyone going over the top trying to do just the opposite.
Yay! Another chapter. I love all the family interaction.
"Even though he appreciated the Cohens' help, Ryan had to admit that he was glad to finally be able to spend some time alone." As I can remember my mother coming in frequently when I was sick as a kid and asking if I wanted anything when all I wanted was to sleep, I can empathize with his desire for "alone" time. : )
lol, right with you (and Ryan) here... Well-intentionned as they are, I'm sure the Cohens must be a little overbearing to someone who's as private as Ryan is...
I've been following this fic since you started it but haven't commented on every chapter. Anyway my New Year's Resolution is to comment on EVERYTHING I read so in that vein:
I really love this fic - characterisation for the canon figures is spot-on and your original Scary Lady is intriguing - I'm just hoping she leaves all her money to Ryan in her will:-)
It's great the way you've handled the early Ryan/Cohen relationship with all its getting-to-know-you problems. Especially like the way Ryan is constantly comparing his current situation with how things were in the past - in the show itself he seemed to completely forget about Chino/Dawn/Trey within a week of Dawn abandoning him - hardly realistic.
lol, I'm not planning to kill the SOL off, but the idea is interesting... Now, *that* would certainly piss off more than a few Newpsies.
I know he seemed to forget about Chino really fast in canon, but I have a theory about that; I think he was thinking about it a lot, but didn't want to talk about it, partly because it would have been hard to talk about, partly because he felt he needed to show gratitude to the Cohens and he was afraid they'd think he didn't appreciate what they were doing if he said he was homesick. :) I may have spent way too much time thinking about this...

Feeling strangely sad, as he always did these days when he woke up and he remembered that he wasn't home, and why he wasn't, Ryan kept quiet.
So adorable. I'll give him a comforting hug!
