Even the highest IQ could not make up for a total lack of common sense. - Amanda Bright
Okay, so I lied. I didn't post yesterday in my journal when I got home. Sorry, guys. I went to Youth. Yeah...and I still don't know my lines for the play. Okay, I suppose I should start telling of Governor's School as of now.
Three weeks. THREE WEEKS. Tomorrow will be the last day. The play we're putting on for the whole of Governor's School AND the public is tomorrow. We're horrible. No offense, but we are. I mean, not many of us know all of our lines. I've tried, I really have. Next year, Ted, don't pick a Shakespearian play unless it's Midsummer Night's Dream or Romeo and Juliet. PLEASE. Because this year has been heck. I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound like a female dog or anything. But, seriously...this year you guys expected SO MUCH from us. It was so much that we couldn't give. You can't put on Much Ado About Nothing in less than three weeks. It's impossible unless you have professional actors and such. We aren't professionals. We're merely high school students. Some of us haven't even had acting EXPERIENCE.
But, other than that and the sucky trip we experienced, Governor's School has been great. OH!!!!! About the trip. I'll now speak of my point of view on it. Here...it sucked because:
A) The walking/hiking to get where we needed to go was EXHAUSTING.
B) The bus drivers gave us heck.
C) It was too noisy.
When I think of more, I'll tell you.
Okay, so last week was time for the trip. We went on Wednesday and got back at midnight on Friday. The ride on the bus was nerve-wrecking...each time we were on there, really. So many people were SO FREAKING LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a headache. Um...so, I called home and spoke with my grandmother and little sister. I almost cried because I missed them. Then, after speaking with them, I called Jessie Hensley. Talking to him made me feel a bit better. He's a pretty great guy. Amanda spent most of her time on the bus hanging with Joseph Arwood, Abraham Arwood's cousin. They're absolutely adorable with one another. They aren't really dating, because they both claim giving what they have a name would merely hurt them worse if they were to...break up? I don't know if you'd call it break up. So anyways...they haven't given their relationship a name. Right. They're dating, but they aren't really dating. Does that make sense? Didn't think so. Um...yeah, Amanda and Cody broke up a day or two ago.
Anyways, the food I ate at VT was weird. I mean, it was good, but not so good. Asian. I tried to eat with chopsticks, which wasn't very smart of me. Collin ate with chopsticks, too. He was trying to eat an egg roll with them and then it fell from his chopsticks when it was right at his mouth...landing in Shawnah's plate. Oh yeah. About couples...I was starting to get tired of seeing couples making out on the busrides. But...I got over it eventually. I mean, it's not SO bad. Things could've been worse. A giant flying monkey could've attacked the world and eaten every little person on there...then that would've been bad. Nyaha.
Besides the fact that the trip sucked, I got tired of hearing people SINGING the whole time. No offense, you guys, but when someone's trying to sleep, the last thing they want to hear is someone singing at the top of their lungs. It's annoying and completely nerve-wrecking.
A good part of the trip, though, was the last day. We ate at Pizza Hut and the whole drama strand was together. Ben decided, "Hey, let's have a few weddings..." and so we did. Ben/Brooke, Amos/Kala McMurray, Jessica/her new boyfriend Jessie...though Jessie/Jess didn't really get married because Amos interrupted and stage kissed Jessie. It was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um...so...please pray for the Drama Strand of Governor's School as we put the finishing touches on our play and perform it tomorrow night. We'll need all the prayers we can get. ALSO! Pray for Jessica's boyfriend, Jessie Carter. He was in the hospital. He's supposed to be out of it today, though. We hope. I'll write in here again later. Much love!!!!! XOXO
Love always,
