The Colony/Post-Apocalyptic Kink

So a few weeks ago, the husband and I were watching Cash Cab while eating dinner, which we often do. During a commercial break, we saw an ad for this. We immediately scrambled to record it when it premiered, but we haven't watched any of the eps yet.

Today, during lunch, I went looking for it and found some clips online, so I'm actually eager to watch the whole thing now. It will be out on DVD, but not until November 24th (Christmas present?).

My husband has instilled me with his post-apocalyptic kink. Though we may have really just fueled each other. I got him to read The Stand, after all (and yes, reservoir, I went looking for the TV show's site after our IM conversation about the original The Stand today.). Long ago, when I was trying NaNoWriMo, I set it in our shared game world of a post-apocalyptic event Earth. I've run one game set in that world, he's run ... 4 now, though some barely got started. The original game was set in the far future, and it was until he was halfway through the game that he realized the stories he really wanted to tell were right AFTER the event, not 500 years later. The current incarnation of the game is going in a direction I'm not entirely thrilled with, but it's definitely made what has now become an "old thing" new again.

I think we should have 3 or so eps on the DVR by now. We'll have to make time this week to catch up.
