Oops, forgot one! (or maybe more)
This post in wow_ladies reminded me that I actually had something else to report.
Harkness started questing a lot, and managed to save up just about enough funds (Ru helped, as did Brownbank) to buy the parts needed for the Mechano-Hog. I already had the Titansteel, Cobalt Bolts, and Arctic Furs, so it was just the 12k gold needed for the parts you can't make.
Now, I've been debating, off and on, as to whom of my characters should get it. If Magnificent got it (my BE pally), he would of course, look rockin' in it. But he'd only be able to escort around Indolence and Saffron, since they're on the 2nd account. But if, say, Indolence got it, then she could give all the other characters (excepting Saffron) a ride!
(Harkness has no desire for a Mechano-hog, having the best mount in the game already. Ruana has flight form, which in and of itself is awesome, and is not a mount collector, excepting the talbuks. Seluja will be getting the Violet Protodrake next Love Is In The Air (provided all goes well at Brewfest this year), and Iocaine and Sigh will likely not get a lot of playtime anyway.)
However, something had been poking at me for quite a while. And I finally gave into the temptation.
Asking the husband whether he preferred Blue or Red, I wrapped up the mechano-hog (once built) with Blue Wrapping Paper, and mailed it off to him, as a thank you for taking care of me when I was in the hospital and recovering afterwards. And for generally being an awesome man. I figured, if he thought it was too much of a gift, I'd get it back and then equip it on someone, but I really didn't think that likely.
marz, do you have any screenshots of him dragging your orc warrior all over Durotar?
(yes, he kept it, equipped it right away. He has the 50 mount achievement and I think he may be half-considering going for the 100.)
And I also forgot to mention that Saffron worked her way through Netherwing and got to exalted and is the proud owner of a Onyx Netherdrake, which she swaps out with her Red Drake from Wyrmrest and her Swift Red Windrider. It took less time since they made the fel glands and relics auto drops, but she also had no gathering skills. I managed to, in 2 days, get all the way up to Skyshatter, but couldn't beat him. I think not having a riding crop really gimps that contest, as he flights just faster than a fast mount, though he does stop and slow now and then. I gave up after about a dozen tries over 2 days.
Now, I wish these stomach cramps would go away. I have a consulting appointment tonight that I don't want to have to cancel!
