Writer's Block: Music and Moods

Aug 22, 2008 22:15

When I listen to certain eighties songs, I feel young and innocent, because I heard these songs during my childhood. Early and mid-nineties grunge and alternative makes me feel like the world is boundless and I can dream whatever I want, like when I was in my early teens. Late 90s goth and new metal, I used to relate to that in anger--I was an angry teen and it helped release my frustrations.

Now, I listen to all kinds; techno helps me consentrate on tasks at hand; metal makes me want to go have fun and wear a cool outfit while doing it. Many different genres of songs make me sing along and dance, some make me cry. Like the one I'm listening to now. I want to walk down the aisle to this song. Or Ofra Haza's Love Song--if you have never heard this song, google it. It is well worth it--may she rest in peace.
