Home in Maine

Oct 07, 2006 20:55

I came home Friday evening. I thought my father was kidding when he said most of the leaves on our tree are gone, but he was telling the truth. Maine is ablaze with color. It makes me wish I had my camera. Maine is also considerably colder than Boston and darker as well. As I stood outside my house this evening and it finally felt like fall. I was enveloped in black and when I exhaled the light from the house showed the clouds of breath. I most reminded of Halloweens past and of the walk I took with Josh before our first kiss. It just feels like October in Maine. My family and I went out to eat at Fat Boy's. It is the closing weekend and I had to get one last meal out of the season. Just to switch it up I had a fried shrimp dinner and a chocolate frappe (I couldn't switch it all the way up) and it was heart-wrenchingly delicious.

There are some people I know are in Maine, but I am unsure of whether I should contact them, because I'm unsure if they would like to be contacted by me. I'm suffering from fairly low confidence levels. If you are, however, in Maine at this time and would like to be contacted by me please let me know.

I feel very solemn and I don't know why.
