It's been hard to find the perfect name for our little girl, it had to be something that:
a) Was short and decent
b) Had a nordic origin
c) Not a "Top 10" name, or even top 50 for that matter :)
d) The name should not be biblical
e) or even have a christian meaning to it
so we ended up with..... Lilja :)
146 women in Norway has that name, so it's 3 times as common as Iril, but still quite rare. There are over 35 000 named Hege. Lilja means "lily" btw.
