ERASER IN HIS HEAD. -part 2-
“Roommate?” heechul was confused. Geng nodded for assurance. “Can I ask for a favor?” heechul added. Geng tensed and got uneasy. “Y-yeah.” He stuttered. Heechul grabbed his hands and held it tighter. Geng’s eyes widened because of heechul’s actions. “please..” heechul paused. Undecided if he will continue. He looked down and while Geng tried to let go. He hugged heechul without thinking. “What is it?” he asked. Heechul started talking and said “please, tell me everything. Everything about my life, who I was, my family, my friends. If I’m in love with someone else. Please.. please..” there are tears in heechul’s eyes. Geng felt the pain that he didn’t felt before. He never thought that heechul will forget him in this kind of way. I’m the one you love, chulla. We’re in love to one another. Geng said in his mind. And he answered heechul with “yes. I will.”
Hours passed and it’s time to sleep. Heechul was about to sleep when he remembered something. “hey.” He called. “uhmmm.” Geng was so sleepy to answer. “I remember something.” Hanging immediately stood and went nearer to heechul. “What did you remember?!” Geng can’t hide his excitement. Heechul laughed. “What?” geng confused. “I just remember you called me ‘baby’ when I woke up yesterday.” Heechul waited geng to react. But geng just stared at him, eyes widened and mouth dropped. Heechul laughed out loud. “i.. I.. i..” he tried to explain. But heechul didn’t wait he just ignored him. “goodnight.” Heechul said.
He stared at sleeping heechul for a while. Tears started forming again into his eyes. You don’t know the feeling of being forgotten, right? I won’t let you feel it. It’s horrible. The pain that you have to bear. I’ll do everything for you. Even it takes forever. Please, just please remember what we had. I love you chulla. I always will. He said while caressing heechul’s cheeks. Then he decided to sleep.
They went home after several days staying at the hospital. Heechul is so nervous. He can’t stay still inside the cab. He kept on playing on his fingers, asking some question to Geng. He held heechul’s hand and said “don’t worry. I’m here.” Heechul just smiled. It made him a bit relax. He doesn’t know why, but he felt comfortable whenever Geng is around.
When they arrived Siwon is the one who greeted them outside the dorm. Geng glared at siwon and looked to heechul. Siwon ran towards heechul and hugged him. “hyung! I miss you!” siwon said. Heechul’s eyes widened and immediately pushed siwon away. He looked at geng and asked “who’s he?” geng looked at siwon again and answered. “He is siwon.” Heechul nodded and muttered his name “siwon”.
Geng pulled heechul inside the dorm and led him to their room. “This is our room.” Geng said. Heechul roamed around the room. He noticed the king size bed and can’t help it and asked. “one bed for two people?” geng pretended that he didn’t hear it. But he answered in his mind. Because we don’t want another bed. We want to cuddle up with each other. Heechul continued to roam inside the room. Touched everything he saw. He smiled at the pictures he saw at the table.
It was him and geng smiling. “Are we that close? Like best friends?” Geng’s heart crushed at the word ‘best friends’. Heechul saw a pink paper but he didn’t bother to read it. Geng just followed him with his eyes and can’t help but smile and tried to hide the pain in his heart.
Days, months and years passed. Heechul never recovered his memory. But he’s been making a lot of great memories with super junior. Heechul got close to siwon. They spend almost everyday together. They ate and played together. “siwon, you know? I really like you.” Heechul said with a smile on his face. “hyung, what do you mean?” siwon asked. “I mean, its fun to be with you.” Heechul explained. Siwon nodded but he is disappointed. I thought I can never have your love. But now, I’ll make sure. That you’ll be mine. Siwon said in his mind. Heechul just smiled at him and tapped his shoulder. Heechul yawned. “I’m sleepy already. I think I should sleep now.” He stood from where he is sitted.
That peaceful night. While heechul and Geng were sleeping, heechul had a nightmare. “no.. no! stop! We’re going to crush! Ahhhh~~~~~!!” geng was woken up because of heechul. He looked at him and got anxious when he saw heechul panting and sweating. “baby? Baby!” he tried to wake him. But heechul kept on talking. “baby wake up!” geng said. Heechul finaaly woke up and he immediately hugged Geng. “I’m so scared.” Heechul cried. “shhh.. Don’t worry.. You’ll be fine.” He hugged heechul and they are both crying. “I dreamt about accident, the driver of the car died and everyone inside the car got injured. I’m so scared geng, it seems real. I’m so scared.” He cried harder. Geng didn’t respond but he think of something. Accident? The accident? Is he remembering something now? He let heechul hugged him tight. Heechul fell asleep while crying but geng keep on thinking about what just happened. Until he fell asleep.
The sun rose and it struck heechul’s eyes. Heechul winced at the light and covered his eyes. He can’t sleep anymore so he decided to get up already. Again, he looked at their pictures and smiled. He looks adorable. He thought. Then he noticed the pink paper on the side. He read it. Heenim? Is that my other nickname? Am I the one who wrote this? If it is me, to whom? He asked himself. When he read it again. A memory flashed in his mind. He touched his head because of the pain. The memory was still blurred. He didn’t saw the man in his mind clearly.
