Title: Hey, Stay
Pairing: Seulgi x Wendy
Rate: G
Summary: Wendy gives up on nagging Seulgi about seeing a doctor and she just tells her to get some rest instead - a proper one that is.
A/N: Pretty much a breather and besides I've always wanted to write about Seulgi being sick but gone lazy af about seeing a doctor. Yep, based on when Wendy confirmed through UFO that Seulgi did catch a cold. (Originally posted on

Wendy shoves her phone back in her pocket after answering a UFO that a fan sent to some stubborn idiot who's currently lounging in their dorm's living room couch, playing a game on her phone but looking pale and extremely tired and has been coughing uncontrollably since the early morning she woke up from what could have been a good night's sleep of hers if not for the cold that she had caught.
"Seulgi,"
Wendy softly called, round dark brown eyes worriedly watching the other girl on the couch before her who's lying flat on her back in such lethargic manner but ironically still has some energy to immerse herself into beating her own record in the game that she spends most of her spare time with.
"Yeah?" Came the girl's languid response that was immediately followed by a horrible coughing.
Wendy winced and got even more worried when the obstinate bear immediately sits up with a hand over her mouth, muffling yet another series of awfully violent hacking that escaped her.
She immediately materializes to the coffee table in the middle of the room, grabbing the water bottle and uncapping it in such haste and then handing it to the struggling bruin.
Seulgi snatched the bottle and hastily drank all of its content as if her life depended on it. Then, Wendy sat down on the space behind her and rubbed her back to soothe her while telling her for the hundredth time what she has been nagging her about since taking notice of her condition.
"This is why I told you to visit the doctor!"
Wendy says, clicking her tongue in a frustrated manner but Seulgi only grinned weakly as she wiped the remnants of water off her lips with the back of her hand and told her, "It's not like I have it bad." and quickly turned away as another harsh coughing left her mouth, clearly saying otherwise and earning her arm a light slap that she knew would have been a hard one if she wasn't this sick.
"Seulgi!"
"What?" chortled the latter.
"Visit the doctor already!"
"But I don't want to!"
Seulgi playfully whined and if not for her not being in the best condition, Wendy wouldn't hesitate to land her fist on the crown of her head for being stubbornly annoying.
"Seulgi!"
"Wendy."
Wendy groans.
Seulgi feigns a groan, chuckling and in turn earning herself another slap on her arm, but it only fueled her laughter as she rubs the spot and Wendy irritatingly clicked her tongue again, her expression showing that of annoyance but her eyes glinting with worry. And Wendy's left wondering just where on Earth does Seulgi still get the energy to try and get under her skin even when she's sick and getting nagged by her to see the doctor and get a prescription.
In the end, Wendy just sighs, her shoulders falling down as she looks at Seulgi with distaste evident on her face and her eyebrows knitted together in a small frown.
"Can't you please just do what I've been telling you to?"
Wendy pleaded one more time but Seulgi just shook her head almost in an instant.
"I don't want to." Was the taller girl's firm and apathetic answer, making Wendy heave an exasperated sigh once again and she just grinned cheekily which is more than enough to affect her as the twitching of the corner of the shorter girl's lips didn't go unnoticed to her. But no matter how bad Wendy is in keeping a straight face, she still held it in.
"Give me a really good reason why you don't want to."
Seulgi shrugs. "I told you I got lazy."
"Oh god!" Wendy groans and instantly plants her face on the girl's shoulder and Seulgi just laughs.
Wendy gives up.
The first time she finally suggested for her to get a prescription from her doctor, Seulgi immediately responded with an 'okay' which was already suspicious enough (because knowing Seulgi, it takes an excessive amount of nagging and bribing before she agrees to things such as that of seeing a doctor for a check-up,) but she just shrugged it off and just hoped that Seulgi really would. Then an hour turned into two, and three, four, five - eight, and when she asked her if she's still going to the clinic, Seulgi just simply - nonchalantly told her otherwise because she got lazy and just now she told her exactly the same reason again.
Maybe she hoped for too much, but oh well. She's not even going to try anymore. She's done. Wendy's done with Seulgi, the master of stubbornness.
Wendy pulls her head back and sits upright once again.
"Then at least get some rest, Seulgi." She says.
"I am." Seulgi responded.
Wendy groans again and she honestly have lost count for how many times she had done it since sitting beside the dumb bear in front of her who calls lazily lying on the couch and busying herself with a game on her phone a form of resting for a sick person like her.
"Properly, Seulgi, rest properly." Says Wendy, confiscating the taller girl's phone and standing on her feet at once before she could even protest.
"What- hey! I was playing!" Seulgi frowned and coughing after.
"Was. Now you're not! You're going to stay there and wait for me while I heat up a soup for you really quickly."
Wendy firmly instructed her as she turns away and heads to their small kitchen, unaware of the fact that Seulgi had also gotten up on her feet and is currently and quietly trailing behind her.
Before she could even open the cupboard and get a bowl, she was instantly stopped midway when a pair of arms snaked around her waist, gently pulling her close and embracing her from behind. Wendy's cheeks flushed as she suddenly felt an abnormal rise in the temperature, then she figured out it was just her feeling hot because Seulgi's so close to her and even more so when Seulgi breathed down and planted her face on the crook of her neck and softly mumbled, her lips touching the delicate of her skin.
"Wan ah, I'm not hungry." Seulgi drawls against her as she holds her close and Wendy carefully looks down, only for a bashful smile to form through bitten lip as her eyes lands on Seulgi's arms that are securely wrapped around her tiny waist, and the red on her cheeks growing brighter and her heart fluttering.
Wendy slowly retracted her arm that's hanging in midair and softly asked, "Then sleepy?"
Seulgi only hummed with a small nod and Wendy just smiled.
"So take a nap, but not on the couch. You'll hurt your neck again!" She reminded with a hint of amusement and Seulgi responded with a muffled 'I got it' in between her smile inducing laughter.
"Now get off me and start heading to your room." Wendy commanded while lightly tapping the taller girl's forearm, but Seulgi only tightened her hold around her.
"No."
Wendy quirks an eyebrow as she turns her head to Seulgi's direction whose face is still buried on her neck.
"What do you mean no?" She questions and as if on cue, Seulgi lifts her head and faces her with a cuddly smile that does things to her, and then tells her,
"You're coming with me and you won't be leaving my side until I've drifted off to sleep."
"Well, I did tell you to get a proper rest anyways so…"
Wendy merely shrugged, smiling back at Seulgi who would rather hug her to sleep.
