My baby, Romeo.
I've made the decision to have Romeo euthanized. His ongoing battle with respiratory illness and trouble eating is just cycling. He'll be fine for a whole month and then suddenly go into an almost coma-like stage where he needs to be syringe fed and given antibiotics to clear up his lungs. He's four, and has been in good health up until this year.
I took this picture of him lying down near his water bottle just minutes ago. He's seriously underweight and has been coming out of his igloo and sleeping out in the open, which is unlike him. I know he's trying to catch my attention, and I know he can't hold on much longer. I think it's time to let him go.
