1) How do you see yourself as changed now from where you were a year ago?
I am a lot more open with people I don't really know. I spend a lot less time worrying about academics and social status and things like that, and a lot more time sleeping, laughing, dancing, and spending time with the people I care about. I am more responsible and independent (good old college!) and I feel a lot more comfortable with myself as an individual.

2) What about the PCT holds such a draw for you?
waking up every morning to a gorgeous sunrise. going to bed every night to an equally stunning sunset. accomplishing something that is truly a mental and physical challenge. getting to know myself (and george) a lot better. dealing with problems as they come, surviving. discovering what is means to be alive. doing something that I can be proud of. waking up 10, or 20, or 30 miles from where I woke up the day before, and knowing that I had covered all that distance under my own power. getting over my fears. and of course, all the little things: the vistas, the lunch breaks, the people I'll meet, the stories and photographs and memories...

3) What is your life philosophy right now?
to live every moment as best I can: not to do things I don't want to, to find the positive in each action I take. to take care of those around me, and to trust them to take care of me.

4) Who do you idealize so that they become more myth than human?
benjamin lack. : )
and dr. walker.

5) What do you most miss about high school?
I miss being the best at something. I had dance for that; I also, to a large extent, had academics. Here, it's just not like that. I'm a freshman, the bottom of the food chain. I also miss having real interactions with my teachers - I miss Mr. Faggi, and Sharona, and Stefani, and Doc Lane, and Shellem.

1. What is your biggest regret?
I regret acting out of bitterness and spite and hurting people I care about.

2. If you were sent to Siberia, and could only take one normal sized packing box of stuff with you, what would you take? (you don't have to fit in clothes)
I would bring all my pictures and scrapbooks, some good novels, my iPod and charger, good quality chocolate and a few spare pairs of contact lenses.

3. How do you define dance?
dance is breaking through all the barriers we set up around ourself. it is being comfortable enough with yourself to let down your guard and just move the way you want to. it is a freeing of your innermost feelings and desires and emotions. dance is life.

4. What does being in love mean to you?
being in love is that middle-of-the-night urge to call someone up just to say 'i love you.' being in love is having all those little jokes and gestures and secret languages that just the two of you understand. being in love is when existing with that someone becomes as easy and as secondnature as drawing a breath. being in love is having a deep knowledge that you will make it through all the bumps in the road. being in love is when your dreams and aspirations begin to mesh and merge until you feel completely supported in your hopes. being in love is when you're so happy that it makes you cry.

5. What are you most afraid of?
I'm equally afraid of pain and of being abandoned.

since i already posted this thingy once, i won't repeat the questions. if you want to be interviewed, you know what to do!
