Nothing makes me more relieved than the truth that my parents have found a senior's home for my grandma, who has Allzheimer's disease, to which she was driven today. She is in such a bad state now, that she can't even dress or undress herself, she can't accomplish the simpliest things you would ask her to do...let's say it's really bad.
Up until now, my mother had visited her in the tiny apartment she had for herself EVERY day, and I mean really every day, even though she had two nurses taking care of her and visiting her, also every day. Grandma has felt really alone in the apartment until now, desperate for communication. She said to my mom once that she was talking to a dog that was on a picture of a calendar and even giving it ham.
I actually adore my mother how she managed to go there to see her every day in her tiny apartment, take care of her, cook for her and everything. I just went once or two times and she already got on my nerves...
Thankfully, grandma is there now and my mother can have more time on her hands, which I am happy for her! <3
