Ha ha I told you i'd be back didn't i?
I have to write about the play. I promised right?
Ok so it was a Benjamin Cardozo High School production of Fiddler on the Roof.
It really wasn't that bad. But we didn't have any music so we had to do it all a capella. A musical without music..... it's interesting i'll tell you that much.
I had the role of Tzeitel, the oldest daughter. I guess it was pretty fun. The only problem was that it was REALLY stressful. Half the time nobody would shut up and listen to poor Erica (the stage director and one of my best friends) so she ended up losing her voice all the time and i swear she almost had a nervous breakdown. And one of my "sisters" was a HUGE primadonna to the point where it was frightening.
The rehersals were pretty much hell because we only had about a month to do this. (Oh the wonderful planning!)
Everyone kept saying "Don't worry it'll all come together the day before the play". Well, the dress rehersal rolls around and um... it ain't coming together.... at all.
We're worried.
Very worried.
The day of the play comes along.
I don't normally get nervous on stage. I love being up there in front of all those people, but that day i have never been so scared in my life, not so much for me but for everyone else.
And how did it go you ask?
It absolutely ROCKED!
I mean, if you were there, you'd probably think i was drunk right now because let's face it, it wasn't a very good show when you compare it to professional stuff. But THAT'S how bad i thought it was going to be.
It's so weird, instead of clicking the day before, it clicks the day OF! How weird!
Ok you know what, i'm gonna go get a soda now.
buh bye
