Key’s POV
After that day, I felt really bitter. It’s as if a huge part of my life was taken away from me. Could I have fallen deep in love with him? No way, I am supposed to hate him. He sucks, I want to stab him with a knife. I took a doll and pretended it was Onew. I wanted to let out all my anger, I just punched the doll, “Why Onew, why do I have to like you? Why is my life like this? I don’t get what I see in you! UGH!” I continued punching until I was tired and I lied on the bed.
Maybe, taking a walk outside would help. I made sure I was warm enough before getting out of the house since it was the last month of the year and its pretty cold out there. I closed the door and shivered when the cold air blew on my cheeks. I then walked slowly, kicking the snow whenever I felt like. “Stupid Jinki, stupid, stupid stupid!” I continued kicking the snow out of my way and hitting my head. Why am I thinking about him again when I am supposed to stop thinking about him?
When I finally reached the park, I looked up. Not many people were here, I bet they were at home enjoying the warmth from their fireplace instead of staying here freezing their asses off. Nonetheless, there were a few children playing on the swings. I smiled and waved as they waved back. Maybe this coldness will help me to stop thinking about Jinki, wait, why am I thinking about him again? Aish!
I swept the snow off the bench and sat down. Ugh, the bench is wet from the snow and I could feel it. I am literally freezing my ass off here. I let out a huff of air and began looking around. A couple was sitting on the bench not far from mine and they were whispering and giggling into each other ears. Hold on, that back looks familiar. Just then the shorter male turn and whispered into the older male’s ear. I squinted my eyes so I could see properly, that’s definitely Taemin! Then who is the one next to him? Shouldn’t it be Onew? Wait, that guy looks like Minho!
I gasped, is Taemin cheating on Onew? Does Onew know about this? Omo, this can’t be happening right? Just a week ago, they were such a lovely couple. I should find this out myself.
I immediately got up and walked towards the couple carefully. “Taemin?” I called out carefully, the said boy turned to me with a shocked face. Maybe he was shocked that he was caught cheating on Onew? “Kibum hyung, what-what are you doing here?” Taemin stuttered.
“What the hell are you doing with Minho? Are you cheating on Onew? How could you?” I said, not giving him a chance to explain himself. I can’t believe he actually cheated on Onew, I thought he loved Onew, why is he so heartless?
“Hyung, can we talk when we get into that café?” He said as he pointed to the café across the street. “All right.” I decided as there was no harm listening to him tell me all about it.
As we walked into the café, the aroma of the coffee beans immediately drifted to my nose and I breathed it in deeply. I took off my coat as it wasn’t that cold here. We chose a seat near the window and sat down.
“Minho-hyung, I need to talk to Kibum-hyung alone.” I looked as Taemin looked up while speaking and Minho nodding before leaving us alone. I don’t get why did Minho have to leave, is it that whatever Taemin is gonna say next, is gonna hurt him?
Many questions ran through my mind, until, “Hyung, hyung, are you with me?” broke my thoughts.
“Yeah, I am. So what’s with you and Minho? How about Jinki? Have you ever thought that you are hurting Jinki by doing this? Where’s the old Taemin? Why are you like this?” I bombarded those questions that were running through my mind for the past few minutes.
“Chill! I will answer it one by one! Minho and I are in a relationship. Jinki? What about him? Wait, why am I hurting Jinki when I am not even in a relationship with him? I have never changed!” Taemin answered.
“Wait, what?! You are not in a relationship with Jinki? I thought you were? Remember a few days ago, you two were so close together, even holding hands!” I was confused.
“Oh that! Hold on, why do you even care so much? You like him don’t you?” Taemin smirked as I looked away.
“What? No, uh, no way! Remember? I hate him so much?” I denied even though I clearly knew that I had already fallen deep in love with him.
“Right! Hyung, continue lying to yourself! Then I will not tell you what happen! Bye!” Taemin got ready to get up and leave.
“No! Wait! Taemin, you are supposed to tell me! Fine, I admit that I like him!” I said and pushed him back down onto his seat.
“Knew it! All right all right, I will tell you what happened.” Taemin smirked and said.
I listened intently as he told me what happened that night before the day I saw them holding hands.
“And well, we pretended, it wasn’t real. It was just to help him get over you.” Taemin explained.
“He likes me?” I asked carefully.
“Yes, its so obvious, I can’t believe you couldn’t see! GOSH! HYUNG! GO FIND HIM NOW!” Taemin said as he pulled me up and pushed me out of the door.
I looked back at him as he smiled and told me to go and find Jinki, I mouthed a thank you and ran along.

Jinki’s POV
It is yet another school day. I walked along the corridors and greeted my friends good morning as I walked to my lockers to get the books for the next lesson.
“Eh? What is this letter doing here?” I asked myself when I saw a green letter sitting above all my books. I took it and opened it slowly in case there is something that would jump out. I carefully opened the letter folded into an envelope.
“Dear Jinki, how is life? I miss you a lot, just that you will never know I do. I don’t have the courage to tell you that I really love you. I know, its weird that I am already confessing to you in the first letter. Till the next time, your admirer.”
Who is this? My admirer? Since when do I have one? The bell rang and it broke my train of thought. I threw the letter into my locker and quickly took out the books needed for the next lessons.
End of Jinki’s POV
At the very far end, there stood someone who showed a clearly unhappy face, holding onto another letter folded into an envelope and looked at Jinki’s direction again before dejectedly walking away.
Behind that mysterious person was another girl, watching the drama unfolding before her and smirked as she thought of a plan.
Kyuyeon’s POV
Jinki oppa, the love of my life, the one and only guy i am willing to share my life with. I first saw him about a year ago when I was a freshman. I saw how he fell for Kibum, I heard how Kibum likes him too and I saw how they broke up in the end.
I was ecstatic to know that Jinki oppa finally gave up on Kibum. I don’t see anything Kibum have that I don’t. I am rich and he isn’t. I am a female and he is a male. I wear skirts and he doesn’t. I can doll up and he can’t. I have practically everything he doesn’t.
And I can bet you that no one can like Jinki more than I can. However, the saddest part is, Jinki will never know that I like him nor will he like me back. But I am willing to try and take whatever I can to make Jinki notice me! And yes, I am gonna do that!
Just as I was about to make my way to my locker, I saw Kibum lingering around Jinki oppa’s locker. I immediately hid myself behind those rows of lockers and peeped at him. I saw him looking around before opening Jinki’s locker and slipping the letter into it. He then crept away after that, I immediately smile when he went away and I walked to Jinki oppa’s locker.
“Here here, I wonder what you wrote.” I thought to myself as I smirked and opened the letter. “Dear Jinki, how is life? Kibum here, I am really sorry for hurting you in the past. I truly love you and I miss you so much, I have so much things to tell you. But I will tell you in the next letter. Got to go now. See you soon! Love, Kibum<3” I read it out. “Tch, no way am I gonna let Jinki oppa see your letter!” I quickly took out another pen and drafted another letter. I smirked when I was done and quickly put it into Jinki oppa’s locker and happily skipped to my locker to take my books and hid in my hiding place.
End of POV
Another day has passed, Kibum mustered his courage to write another letter asking Jinki to meet him at Leo’s Garden at 8pm, the table nearest to the windows that night. Once again, Kyuyeon saw the letter and of course, she swapped it with another letter, “Dear Jinki, can we please meet? I think you are curious to know who am I. Please come to Leo’s Garden at 7.30p.m. tonight. I am bringing along a rose with me. See you there. :D With love, your admirer.”
“Minho! My admirer dropped another letter in my locker again!” Jinki whined to Minho, “I don’t know whether he is a female or male! Ahh, it asked me to meet it! KYAAA! I don’t want to go.” Minho then looked at Taemin and smiled before saying, ”Hyung, it might be someone you like! Just go and see what he or she says!” Taemin then persuaded, “Yeah! I agree! Just go and meet him or her!”
At first, Jinki didn’t want to bother and go and meet his admirer. However, under Minho’s and Taemin’s persuasion, he decided to go for it.
So, he wore a white suit and got ready at about 7pm that night and left the house, feeling excited to meet his admirer. Jinki always wondered who was his admirer. Is it a female or a male? Is he or she pretty or handsome?
However, Jonghyun’s words rang in his mind, “If you do not like that person, remember to tell him or her your feelings, do not, I repeat, DO NOT mislead that person into thinking that you like him or her.” He shrugged it off thinking that his admirer would probably someone he really likes.
“Now, to find someone who is holding a rose.” Jinki mumbled to himself. “Uh huh!” Jinki saw someone, her back facing him, wearing a hot pink cocktail dress, matched with white high heels sitting on a table and on her right hand and she was holding a rose. “Her back looks familiar,” Jinki muttered to himself and walked towards the table. “Are you my…Kyuyeon-ssi?” Jinki said. He was shocked and never expected that it was her.
After all, he treated Kyuyeon as his dongsaeng and nothing more than that.
____
Kibum’s POV
I think I better get there early so that I can prepare what to say. I got there about an hour earlier, thinking that I could at least practice what I am going to say to Jinki when he arrives later.
When I reached the restaurant, I was brought to the table I reserved, the one nearest to the window. “Jinki, I know that it was wrong to spread rumors about you. I have realized my mistake… Damn it, it sounds so weird! ARGH! This is so frustrating” I fret over what I was going to say until I heard Jinki’s voice. “Eh, why is Jinki here so early?” I immediately got ready and waited for him to make his way to my table. However, he took quite a long time to come to my table and I immediately moved to take a look and saw Jinki sitting down on another table, his back facing me and the girl looks quite pretty.
Oh, he asked somebody out and probably wanted to reject me and told me to stop being so delusional in thinking that he still likes me. “Ah, I get it, this is your answer.” I forced a smile and walked out of the restaurant. However, I lingered about to see what they were going to.
I hid behind a tree when I saw Jinki and that girl walking out of the restaurant. They got onto Jinki’s car and went off, I ran out of my hiding place and quickly flagged for a cab and got the driver to follow Jinki’s car.
Third Person’s POV
Kibum soon arrived at a hut hidden deep in the forest. He walked as silently as possible and tried to look at what was happening in the hut. He saw Jinki being tied up and was still unconscious while Kyuyeon was just caressing his face.
Kibum immediately called the police and informed them.
“You know I love you, right? YOU KNOW IT RIGHT? But why do you still love Kibum. I am better than him in a million ways.” Kyuyeon said.
“Mmphfmm.” Jinki soon woke up and tried to talk, but his mouth was gagged.
Kyuyeon ignored it and said, “well its okay now, we can be together for as long as we like and we are going to run away from this country.” Kyuyeon said and caressed his face. “You wanna talk, baby? I will let you, but try not to scream, yeah?” Kyuyeon took the cloth out of his mouth and Jinki said, “We are not going to go out of this country. I don’t want to be with you, I don’t even love you. I see you as my sister only. I want to be with Kibum, I love him and that’s the fact.”
“Oh, is that so? That bastard, I will kill him,” Kyuyeon shouted, before toning down and happily said, “and we can be together for as long as we want. I am willing to kill anybody for you, baby.”
“No! Don’t you dare touch my Kibum. Why don’t you get it? There’s no point in killing him, I don’t even like you! You are just making me hate you even more if you were to kill him!”
“You are lying, aren’t you? You are lying to me right? Why don’t you like me, I am better than him, I am a female, I can give birth to babies and HE CAN’T.” Kyuyeon covered her ears and slowly squat down, shaking her head, “you are just saying this to protect him. If I can’t kill him, I shall kill you before committing suicide so that we will be together. Death shall NOT do us apart. HAHAHAHAHA!”
“No!” Kibum barged into the hut, “don’t kill him. Just kill me if you want to.”
“Kibum? What the hell are you doing here? Get out!” Jinki was surprised at the sight of seeing Kibum.
“No! She wants my life, not yours. Jinki, I am sorry for pushing you away. I am really sorry for all the hurt I have caused. Forgive me.”
“Oh quit being such a drama queen,” Kyuyeon said as she pointed the gun to Kibum, “after you die, Jinki-oppa and I will be able to live happily together. Without you, everything will be peaceful. HAHAHAHA”
Just as she was about to pull the trigger, the police barged into hut and arrested Kyuyeon.
“Ugh let me off, let me kill that bastard. Let go!” Kyuyeon shouted as she was dragged away.
Kibum quickly released Jinki from the ropes and Jinki wrapped his arms around Kibum. “I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to see you. I love you, don’t you ever let me go. Even if you do, I am gonna run to you and cling onto you and never let you go.” Jinki said.
“Ahem,” someone coughed, “I am sorry to interrupt but Kim Kibum-ssi, do you mind if you tell my colleagues what happened? It’s kinda important you see.” The police officer shrugged and grinned.
A week later
Jinki and Kibum were out in the park enjoying the beautiful flowers that had grown.
“Aren’t you tired?” Jinki asked. “Why would I be?” Kibum answered. “’Cause you have been running in my mind for the past few days.” He replied, grinning widely. “Cheesy,” Kibum said as he hit Jinki’s arms. “But honestly, would you have told me that you love me if I did actually tell you?” Kibum asked. “Maybe?” Jinki laughed and quickly got up when he saw Kibum glaring at him. Kibum ran after Jinki and suddenly Jinki fell on the ground and started wincing in pain.
“Omo, are you okay? Tell me where it hurts!” Kibum squat down and started touching Jinki’s head to check for any injuries.
Jinki stared into Kibum’s eyes and said, “My heart, it hurts.”
“Wae? Are you okay? Are you about to get an heart attack soon?”
“No, would you marry me? You have to agree, if not I am gonna die.” Jinki winced and closed his eyes in pain once again.
“Uhm…” Kibum hesitated.
Jinki took this chance and slipped the ring onto Kibum’s finger, “I will take that you agreed!” And he stood up and ran away from Kibum once again.
“LEE JINKI! WHAT KIND OF A PROPOSAL IS THIS? I WANT A BOUQUET OF FLOWER! NO! MY DREAM PROPOSAL WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS! UGH! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROPOSED TO ME IN FRONT OF THE CROWD AND…” before he could finish what he was about to say, Jinki grabbed his head and kissed him on his lips.
And we all know what happens in the end.
Both my best friend and I fell in love with the same guy. So I made the guy I love, hate me, just so that he could love my best friend. Then I realized I made the wrong decision to do so and it is only right to fight for your own happiness.
